1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your DAKASON 4FT LED Linear Light Fixture. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and retain it for future reference. This fixture is designed for commercial and residential indoor illumination, offering selectable wattage and color temperature settings.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power before installation or servicing.

• Ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
• Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes.
• Do not install in wet locations. This fixture is for indoor use only.
• Do not modify the fixture. Any modifications may void the warranty and create safety hazards.
• Handle the fixture with care to prevent damage.
• Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:

4. Setup & Installation

The DAKASON 4FT LED Linear Light Fixture supports both suspension mount and flush mount installations.

4.1. Before Installation

• Turn off power at the circuit breaker.
• Unpack the fixture and inspect for any damage.
• Determine the desired mounting method (suspension or flush).

4.2. Wiring Instructions

This fixture requires hardwiring. A power cable is NOT included and must be supplied by the installer.

1. Open the end cap of the fixture by pulling it up as indicated by the arrow.
2. Connect the electrical wires using appropriate wire caps (not included).
3. Connect the Black wire from the fixture to the Live (L) wire from the power supply.
4. Connect the White wire from the fixture to the Neutral (N) wire from the power supply.
5. Connect the Green wire from the fixture to the Ground (GND) wire from the power supply.
6. For 0-10V dimming, connect the Purple wire to the Dim+ wire and the Gray wire to the Dim- wire from the 0-10V dimmer (dimmer not included).
7. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.
8. Close the end cap securely after wiring.

4.3. Suspension Mount Installation

1. Mark the desired locations for the suspension ropes on the ceiling.
2. Drill pilot holes and install appropriate anchors/screws for the suspension rope mounts.
3. Attach the suspension ropes to the ceiling mounts and to the fixture's mounting brackets.
4. Adjust the cable length (up to 78 inches) by pressing the release button on the cable gripper to achieve the desired height.
5. Ensure the fixture is level and securely suspended.

4.4. Flush Mount Installation

1. Mark the desired locations for the ceiling mount clips on the ceiling.
2. Drill pilot holes and install appropriate anchors/screws for the ceiling mount clips.
3. Securely attach the ceiling mount clips to the ceiling.
4. Snap the linear light fixture into the installed ceiling mount clips. Ensure it is firmly seated.

4.5. Linking Multiple Fixtures

Multiple DAKASON linear light fixtures can be linked in continuous runs up to 15 fixtures at 120V.

1. Ensure power is off before linking.
2. Align the end of one fixture with the linking connector of another.
3. Slide the fixtures together until they securely connect.
4. Ensure electrical continuity and mechanical stability between linked fixtures.

5. Operating Instructions

After installation, restore power to the fixture. The DAKASON LED Linear Light Fixture offers selectable wattage and color temperature settings.

5.1. Selecting Wattage (Power)

The fixture has a selectable wattage switch located on the side. This allows you to choose between 30W, 40W, or 50W to adjust the light output.

• 30W: Approximately 3,000 lumens.
• 40W: Approximately 4,000 lumens.
• 50W: Approximately 5,000 lumens.

CAUTION: Ensure power is OFF before adjusting the wattage switch to prevent electrical hazards.

5.2. Selecting Color Temperature (CCT)

The fixture also features a selectable color temperature switch, allowing you to choose between 3000K, 4000K, or 5000K.

• 3000K (Warm White): Provides a warm, inviting light.
• 4000K (Bright White): Offers a neutral, balanced light.
• 5000K (Daylight): Delivers a crisp, bright white light.

CAUTION: Ensure power is OFF before adjusting the CCT switch to prevent electrical hazards.

5.3. 0-10V Dimming

This fixture is compatible with standard 0-10V dimming systems (dimmer not included) for smooth brightness adjustment.

• Connect the fixture's purple and gray dimming wires to a compatible 0-10V dimmer as per the dimmer's instructions.
• Adjust the dimmer to achieve the desired light intensity.

6. Maintenance

The DAKASON LED Linear Light Fixture requires minimal maintenance.

• Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the fixture. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. If any issues are found, disconnect power and contact a qualified electrician or customer support.
• LEDs: The LED chips are designed for a long service life (50,000 hours) and are not user-replaceable.

This DAKASON LED Linear Light Fixture is backed by a 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, accident, misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
