1. Introduction

The Vanity Art range hood is designed to effectively remove smoke, grease, and odors from your kitchen, ensuring a cleaner and more comfortable cooking environment. It features a 600 CFM dual motor system, three-speed button controls, and LED lighting.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, observe the following:

  • Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
  • Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel-burning equipment to prevent back-drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.

5.3 Mounting the Range Hood

  1. Prepare the cabinet opening according to the dimensions provided in Figure 1.
  2. Secure the range hood insert into the cabinet using the provided installation screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
  3. Connect the ductwork to the exhaust outlet of the range hood and vent it to the exterior of the building. Use appropriate ducting materials and seal all connections to prevent air leaks.
  4. Connect the electrical wiring according to local codes. Ensure the power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker before making any electrical connections.

6. Operation

Your Vanity Art range hood features user-friendly button controls for fan speed and lighting.

6.1 Fan Speed Control

The range hood is equipped with a 3-speed button control panel. Press the respective buttons to select your desired fan speed:

  • Speed 1: Low setting for light cooking and simmering.
  • Speed 2: Medium setting for general cooking.
  • Speed 3: High setting for heavy cooking, frying, or when strong ventilation is required.

6.2 LED Lighting

The range hood includes two integrated LED lights to illuminate your cooking area. Press the light button on the control panel to turn the lights on or off.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning Baffle Filters

The stainless steel baffle filters are designed to capture grease and are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.

  3. Place the filters in a dishwasher for cleaning, or wash them by hand with hot, soapy water.

7.2 General Cleaning

  • Clean the exterior surfaces of the range hood regularly with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners that could scratch the stainless steel finish.
  • Ensure the range hood is completely dry after cleaning.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Check if the unit is properly plugged in and if the circuit breaker has tripped.
  • Fan Not Operating: Ensure the fan speed button is pressed. If still not working, check for obstructions in the fan blades.
  • Poor Suction: Clean the baffle filters. Check for blockages in the ductwork or ensure the ducting is properly sealed and vented to the outside.
