Setup and Installation
1. Compatibility Check
This dash cam is specifically designed for Hyundai Palisade models from 2023 to 2025. It is crucial to verify that your vehicle's original part number ends with S8700 or S8710 for proper fitment and functionality. If your part number differs, this model may not be compatible.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
The FITCAMX Dash Cam is designed for automatic operation. It will power on and begin recording automatically when your vehicle starts. Similarly, it will power off when the vehicle is turned off.
2. Wi-Fi Connection and App Usage
The FITCAMX app allows you to view live footage, access recorded files, and adjust camera settings directly from your smartphone.
- Activate Dash Cam: Ensure your vehicle is running and the dash cam is powered on (indicated by blue lights on the unit).
- Connect to Wi-Fi: On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings. Select the Wi-Fi network starting with "CAR", "LHD", or "CARDV". The default password is 12345678.

- Live View: You can now see a live view from the dash cam. Tap to view in full screen.

3. Loop Recording
The dash cam continuously records video in segments. When the storage card is full, the oldest footage will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures that recording never stops due to a full memory card. You can set the duration of each recording segment (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) via the FITCAMX app.

4. G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)
The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When such an event occurs, the dash cam automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These emergency files are saved in a separate folder within the app for easy access and evidence preservation.

Maintenance
1. SD Card Management
Regularly formatting the SD card is recommended to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. You can format the SD card directly through the FITCAMX app in the camera settings. Note: Formatting will erase all content on the SD card.
2. Cleaning
Keep the camera lenses clean from dust and smudges to ensure clear video quality. Use a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
3. Operating Environment
The dash cam is designed to operate within a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C (-4°F to 185°F). Operating outside this range may affect performance or damage the device.
Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the Y-cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's auto-dimming mirror power source. Check if the vehicle's ignition is on.
- Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Verify that your phone's Wi-Fi is enabled and you are selecting the correct dash cam network. Double-check the password (default: 12345678). If issues persist, try restarting both your phone and the dash cam.
- App Not Displaying Live View or Recordings: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection to the dash cam. If connected but no data appears, try closing and reopening the app.
- Poor Video Quality: Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the video resolution setting in the app is set to the desired quality (e.g., 2160P for front, 1080P for rear).
- SD Card Errors: If you encounter errors related to the SD card, try formatting it through the app. If the issue persists, the SD card may be faulty and require replacement. The dash cam supports up to 256GB SD cards.
- CarPlay/Bluetooth Interference: The dash cam's Wi-Fi operates independently and should not affect CarPlay or Bluetooth functionality. You do not need to keep the camera's Wi-Fi connected to your phone for it to record automatically.
