Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your DIRPIR Power Technic Functions Kit:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and verify that all listed items are present.
- Install Batteries in Battery Box (8881):
- Locate the battery compartments on both sides of the Battery Box (8881).
- Slide open the battery covers.
- Insert six (6) AA batteries into the compartments, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Three batteries go into each side.
- Close the battery covers securely.
- Install Batteries in IR Speed Remote Control (8879):
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the IR Speed Remote Control (8879).

- Use the 10-inch Extension Wire Cord (8886) if additional length is needed.
- Match Remote Control and Receiver Channels:
- Both the IR Speed Remote Control (8879) and the IR Receiver (8884) have a channel selector switch (usually A, B, C, D or 1, 2, 3, 4).
- Set both the remote and the receiver to the same channel to establish communication.
