Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Dexceder self-watering planter:
- Prepare the Inner Pot: Place the inner pot stand and inner mat at the bottom of the inner pot. Then, pave a layer of stone or clay pebbles (not included) at the bottom of the inner pot to aid drainage and aeration.

- Add Soil: Place nutritive soil suitable for your plant on top of the stone or clay layer.

- Plant Placement: Carefully place your plant into the inner pot. Fill the remaining space with nutrient soil, ensuring the plant is securely positioned.

- Assemble Planter: Insert the water level indicator into its designated slot in the inner pot. Then, carefully lower the inner pot into the outer pot. The inner pot features hidden handles for easier handling.

- Initial Watering: For the first three months after planting, water your plant from the top as you would with a traditional pot. This allows the roots to establish and grow downwards towards the water reservoir. Do not rely on the self-watering system during this initial period.

Operating Instructions
Self-Watering System
After the initial three-month period, your plant's roots should be established enough to utilize the self-watering system. The planter features a unique sub-irrigation design with a water reservoir at the bottom and a water level indicator to show when refilling is needed.

Filling the Water Reservoir
To fill the reservoir, pour water into the designated water hole until the water level indicator reaches the 'MAX' mark. The system can provide water for up to one month, depending on the plant's needs and environmental conditions. Refill when the indicator shows 'MIN' or empty.

Indoor and Outdoor Use
The planter is equipped with a drainage plug for versatile use:
- Indoor Use: Ensure the drainage plug at the bottom of the outer pot is securely tightened to prevent water leakage.
- Outdoor Use: Remove the drainage plug to allow excess rainwater to drain, preventing overwatering during rainy periods.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: The planter can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the matte finish.
- Plant Replacement: The inner bucket's hidden handles facilitate easy removal of the plant for repotting or replacement without disturbing the outer pot.
- Water Level Monitoring: Regularly check the water level indicator to ensure your plant receives adequate hydration.
Troubleshooting
- Plant Wilting/Dry Soil: Check the water level indicator. If low, refill the reservoir. Ensure the plant's roots have grown into the reservoir area (typically after 3 months).
- Yellowing Leaves/Soggy Soil: This may indicate overwatering. For outdoor use, ensure the drainage plug is removed. For indoor use, monitor the water level indicator to avoid overfilling.
- Root Rot: The self-watering system is designed to prevent root rot by providing aeration. Ensure the inner pot's drainage layer (stone/clay) is properly installed and the water level is managed correctly.
- Difficulty with Assembly: Refer to the 'Setup Instructions' section and the assembly video for visual guidance. Ensure all components are correctly aligned before applying force.
