1. Introduction

1.1 Product Overview

The HOMELUX 28L XXL Air Fryer Oven combines the functionalities of a hot air fryer and a mini oven, designed to prepare healthy and delicious meals. It features 1700W dual fan technology and 6 heating elements (upper and lower) for rapid and even cooking, resulting in crispy and juicy food. With a large 28-liter capacity and 18 preset programs, this appliance offers versatile cooking options for various dishes.

1.2 Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance to ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.

  • Always place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow proper ventilation.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your local power supply before connecting.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Contact customer support for assistance.
  • The appliance surfaces become hot during use. Use oven mitts when handling hot components.
  • The double-layer insulating glass door and rotary knob mechanism are designed to minimize burn risk when opening/closing the door.
  • Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials from the appliance and its accessories. Check for any damage during transit. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.

2.2 Placement

Place the air fryer oven on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space (at least 10 cm) around all sides of the appliance for proper air circulation.

2.3 First Use

Before first use, wipe down the interior and all accessories with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly. It is recommended to run the appliance empty for about 15 minutes at 200°C to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this initial run; this is normal.

3. Operation

3.1 Control Panel

The control panel features a digital display, a large rotary knob, and several buttons for various functions. The display shows temperature, time, and selected programs.

3.2 Preset Programs

The appliance includes 18 automatic programs for common dishes. To use a preset program:

  1. Turn the rotary knob to select the desired program.
  2. The display will show the default temperature and time for that program.
  3. You can adjust the temperature (30-230°C) and time (up to 24 hours) using the rotary knob or dedicated buttons if available.
  4. Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.

3.3 Manual Cooking

For custom cooking, you can manually set the temperature and time:

  1. Select the desired heating method (e.g., top heat, bottom heat, convection, or a combination).
  2. Use the rotary knob or temperature buttons to set the temperature between 30°C and 230°C.
  3. Use the rotary knob or time buttons to set the cooking duration, up to 24 hours.
  4. Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.

The HOMELUX Air Fryer Oven offers multiple heating methods and features:

  • Dual Fan Technology: Ensures rapid and even heat distribution for faster and crispier results.
  • 6 Heating Elements: Upper and lower elements provide comprehensive heating.
  • Convection Function: Ideal for cooking multiple trays simultaneously and ensuring even results.
  • Bottom Heat: Perfect for achieving a crispy base for pizzas or tarts.
  • Top Heat: Suitable for casseroles and gratins.
  • Top & Bottom Heat: For even rising of cakes and bread.
  • Rotisserie Function: Automatic 360° rotation for perfectly roasted meats.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your appliance.

5.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • The interior is coated for easy cleaning. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Do not immerse the main unit in water.

5.2 Cleaning Accessories

All removable accessories (rotisserie spit, handles, wire rack, mesh basket, baking/drip tray) are dishwasher safe, except for the bottom drip tray. Hand wash the bottom drip tray with warm, soapy water.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HOMELUX Air Fryer Oven, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check your household circuit breaker.
  • Food is not cooking evenly: Ensure the appliance is not overcrowded. Use the appropriate rack position and consider rotating food halfway through cooking. Verify the correct temperature and time settings.
  • White smoke coming from the appliance: This may be due to grease or food residue on the heating elements or in the drip tray. Clean the appliance thoroughly after each use. If smoke persists, unplug and contact support.
  • Rotisserie function not working: Ensure the rotisserie spit is correctly installed and secured in its designated slots.
