- Tire plugs are intended for temporary repairs. Seek professional tire service as soon as possible after using the kit.

Operating Instructions: Flat Tire Repair
Step 1: Locate and Prepare the Puncture
- Identify the puncture location on the tire tread.
- Using the provided pliers, carefully remove the foreign object (nail, screw, etc.) from the tire.
- Insert the T-handle reamer tool into the puncture. Work the reamer tool in and out of the hole several times to clean and enlarge the puncture to the appropriate size for the repair plug. Ensure the hole is clean and free of debris.

Step 2: Prepare the Repair Plug
- Take one heavy duty black tire string (repair plug) from the kit.
- Apply a generous amount of Plug Bond (rubber cement) to the entire surface of the repair plug. This helps create a strong seal.
- Thread the lubricated repair plug halfway through the eye of the T-handle plugger tool.

Step 3: Insert the Repair Plug
- Firmly push the T-handle plugger tool, with the repair plug, into the prepared puncture until approximately 1/2 inch of the plug is visible outside the tire.
- Quickly pull the plugger tool straight out of the tire, leaving the repair plug securely in place. Do not twist the tool during removal.
Step 4: Finish the Repair
- Using the utility knife, carefully trim any excess repair plug material flush with the tire tread.
- Inflate the tire to the manufacturer's recommended pressure using a separate tire inflator (not included in this kit).
- Check for leaks by applying a soapy water solution to the repaired area. If bubbles appear, the repair may need to be redone or professional assistance sought.

Maintenance
- After each use, clean the reamer and plugger tools to remove any rubber residue or dirt.
- Store all components neatly in the provided hardshell case to prevent damage and loss.
- Keep the Plug Bond tubes tightly sealed to prevent drying out. Replace if the cement hardens.
- Store repair plugs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their tackiness and flexibility.

Troubleshooting
- Difficulty inserting plug: Ensure the puncture hole has been adequately reamed. Apply more Plug Bond to the plug and the reamer tool for better lubrication.
- Plug not holding air: The puncture might be too large, in the sidewall, or the plug was not inserted correctly. Remove the old plug, re-ream the hole, and attempt the repair with a new plug. If the issue persists, seek professional tire service.
- Tools feel stiff: Clean tools thoroughly after each use. A small amount of lubricant can be applied to moving parts if necessary.
