3. Install the Thermometer Sensor (H5108)

Insert the included AAA batteries into the thermometer. Pull out the blue tab to activate the battery. Connect the probe to the thermometer. The thermometer will immediately display the current temperature.

4. Pair the Sensor with the Gateway

Within the Govee Home app, navigate to the H5151 Gateway settings. Tap 'Add a new sub-device' or 'Search for new sensors'. The app will detect the H5108 thermometer. Follow the prompts to complete the pairing process. You may need to short press the button on the side of the thermometer to confirm pairing.

5. Placement Options

The thermometer offers multiple placement options:

  • Magnetic: The thermometer has a magnetic back for easy attachment to metal surfaces like refrigerator doors.
  • Lanyard: Use the included lanyard to hang the thermometer.
  • Adhesive Tape: For non-magnetic surfaces, use the provided 3M adhesive tapes to secure the thermometer or its holder.

The probe and cable are slim and sturdy, allowing them to be routed through refrigerator or freezer door seals without compromising insulation. Use the cable winder on the holder to manage excess cable length.
