3. Installation
3.1. Measuring Your Window
Accurate measurement is crucial for proper fit and function. There are two main installation types: Internal and External.

Image: Detailed diagrams illustrating how to measure window width and height for both internal and external mounting, including considerations for clearance and extension.
Internal Installation:
- Width: Measure at least 3 points (top, mid, bottom) of the window net width. Use the minimum measurement (A, B, C) as the Order Width (End-to-end width). Attention: Do not remove any size in width. The installation clearance will be considered by the manufacturer.
- Height: Measure the net height of the window. Ensure a minimum depth (D) of 2 1/2 inches.
External Installation:
- Width: Measure the window net width and consider an extra 6 inches extension totally in width. Net width + 6" = Order Width (End-to-end width). Attention: The width extension needs to be considered by the customer.
- Height: Measure the net height of the window and consider an extra 8 inches extension totally in height.
3.2. Mounting Options and Valances
The blinds offer various valance and bottom rod options to suit your aesthetic and functional needs.

Image: Visual representations of various valance types (Square V2 Minimalist, Curve white S2, Simple rolling, Beam simple rolling) and bottom rod types (Type A Streamlined water-drop, Type B, Type C, Type D) with dimensions.
Ensure you select the appropriate mounting type (Inside Mount is standard) and valance/bottom rod options as per your order.

Image: Comparison of standard roll and reverse roll configurations, illustrating how the fabric rolls off the tube and their respective dimensions.
Consider the roll type (Standard or Reverse) based on your window frame and desired aesthetic. The measurement for multiple shades side by side is the same as the measurement of one, and you do not need additional reduction in width generally.

Note the presence or absence of a shading slot, which affects the light gap at the sides of the blind.
4. Operation
4.1. Remote Control
Your ZSHINE Motorized Blackout Roller Blind comes with a pre-set remote control for immediate use. The remote allows you to raise, lower, and stop the blinds at any desired position.

4.2. Motor Types and Smart Home Compatibility
ZSHINE offers various motor options, each with different features and smart home compatibility. Please refer to the motor type you selected for specific integration details.

Image: A table comparing four motor codes (TQL25, ZM25-EAZ, AM25-Matter, ZM27-E) based on smart control requirements (bridge hub, direct compatibility), rolling speed, noise level, battery capacity, manual handling when powered off, and auto stop with resistance.
TQL25 Motor:

Image: Diagram showing the TQL25 motor, which is rechargeable and has 3 stopping positions. It requires an optional Smart Hub to link to devices and is compatible with all versions of Alexa & Google Home (not included) via app control for professional timing, voice control, and scene control.
ZM25-EAZ Motor (More Smarter):

Image: Diagram showing the ZM25-EAZ motor, which is rechargeable and COM Smart. It can work directly with 5 Alexa models (Echo 4th Gen, Echo Plus (2nd Gen.), Echo Studio, Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen.), Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen.)) without a separate hub. For other Alexa versions, a Smart Bridge (Zigbee Hub, optional) is required.
AM25-Matter Motor:

Image: Diagram showing the AM25-Matter motor, which is rechargeable. It requires a Matter Hub (any smart device with Thread Border Router capability) to add the shades to HomeKit/Alexa/Google App directly. It uses the Matter over Thread protocol for seamless integration with HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant, and more.
ZM27-E Motor (Strong Practicability):

Image: Diagram showing the ZM27-E motor, which has a noise level of 20-30dB, battery capacity of 1200+ runs, and rolling speed of 120-180RPM. It supports manual handling when powered off and auto stop with resistance. It requires an optional Smart Hub to link to devices and is compatible with all versions of Alexa & Google Home (not included) via app control for professional timing, voice control, and scene control.
For voice control, ensure your motor is properly linked to your smart home system (e.g., Alexa, Google Home). You can then use commands like "Alexa, open the Curtains" or "Alexa, open the roller shades."

5. Charging and Power
Your motorized blinds are rechargeable. You can charge them using the provided Type C cable and charging adapter, or a power bank. An optional solar panel is also available for continuous charging.

Image: Diagrams illustrating three charging methods: Type C Cable + Charging Adapter (4 hours for full charge), Type C Cable + Power Bank (running 300 cycles, about half a year), and Optional Solar Panel (perfect for high windows, works indoors against window glass or outdoors on the wall).
Charging Details:
- Charging Adapter: Approximately 4 hours for a full charge.
- Power Bank: Provides approximately 300 cycles of operation, lasting about half a year.
- Solar Panel (Optional): Ideal for high windows or locations without easy power access. The solar panel can work indoors against the window glass or outdoors on the wall.
The charging adapter and Type C cable are shared for orders with multiple blinds.
