3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Setting the Time

  1. Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the second click position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hands and set the desired time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back in to its original position to start the watch.

3.2 Setting the Date

The date function on this watch is designed to advance forward only. If you pass the desired date, you will need to cycle through the days until the correct date is displayed again.

  1. Pull the crown out to the first click position.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the date.
  3. Advance the date to the day before the current date. For example, if today is the 15th, set the date to the 14th.
  4. Pull the crown out to the second click position (time setting position).
  5. Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the time past 12 AM (midnight). The date will change to the current day. Continue rotating to set the correct time for the current day.
  6. Push the crown back in to its original position.

3.3 Adjusting Bracelet Length

The watch comes with a link removal tool to help you adjust the stainless steel bracelet for a perfect fit. Follow the instructions provided with the tool or seek professional assistance for bracelet adjustment.

4. Care and Maintenance

4.1 Water Resistance Guidelines

Your dirocoro watch is water resistant up to 30 meters (3 ATM). This means it is suitable for:

  • Daily use
  • Splashes
  • Rain
  • Hand washing

It is not suitable for:

  • Showering or bathing
  • Swimming
  • Diving or snorkeling
  • Any activity involving prolonged water immersion

Important: Do not operate the crown or push buttons while the watch is wet or submerged in water, as this can compromise the water resistance.

4.2 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish.

4.3 Battery Information

The watch is powered by a quartz battery. The typical lifespan of a watch battery varies, but generally lasts several years. When the battery runs low, the watch may start to lose time or stop completely. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

4.4 Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Keeping it in its original box or a watch case can help protect it from dust and scratches.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Not Running or Losing Time

  • Check the Crown: Ensure the crown is fully pushed in to its original position. If it's pulled out, the watch will not run.
  • Battery: The battery may be depleted. Refer to section 4.3 for battery replacement information.
  • Impact: If the watch has experienced a significant impact, internal components may be damaged. Seek professional repair.

5.2 Date Not Changing Correctly

  • AM/PM Setting: The date typically changes around midnight. If the date changes at noon, your watch is set to the wrong AM/PM cycle. Advance the time by 12 hours.
  • Date Advancement: Remember that the date function only advances forward. If you overshoot the desired date, you must cycle through all 31 days to reach it again. Refer to section 3.2 for detailed date setting instructions.

5.3 Luminous Function Not Glowing

  • Exposure to Light: The luminous material needs to absorb light to glow. Ensure the watch has been exposed to sufficient natural or artificial light before expecting it to glow in the dark.
  • Aging: Over time, the intensity of the luminous glow may diminish. This is a natural characteristic of luminous materials.

5.4 Condensation Inside the Watch

  • If you notice condensation or moisture inside the watch, it indicates a breach in the water resistance. This requires immediate attention to prevent damage to the movement. Take the watch to a professional watch repair service as soon as possible.
