This Hawkley Front Bumper Skid Plate and Winch Plate is designed to provide enhanced protection and utility for your truck's front end. It integrates a skid plate for undercarriage protection and a winch plate for mounting a recovery winch. Constructed from durable Q235A steel with a black powder-coated finish, it offers resistance against rust and corrosion.

Important Note: This product is designed for installation exclusively with a Hawkley front bumper body. It is not compatible with original factory bumpers or other aftermarket bumper products.

5. Setup and Installation

This Front Bumper Skid Plate and Winch Plate is designed for a direct bolt-on installation, requiring no drilling or modifications to your vehicle. It reuses the original factory mounting locations.

Installation Steps:

1. Ensure your vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
2. If applicable, remove any existing components that would obstruct the installation of the new skid plate and winch plate.
3. Position the Hawkley Skid Plate and Winch Plate assembly onto the designated mounting points on your Hawkley front bumper body.
4. Align the mounting holes on the skid plate with the vehicle's frame mounting points.
5. Secure the assembly using the provided mounting hardware. Hand-tighten all bolts initially.
6. Once all bolts are in place, progressively tighten them to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications (if available, otherwise tighten securely).
7. Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure before operating the vehicle.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the skid plate provides protection to the undercarriage of your vehicle during off-road driving by deflecting impacts from rocks, debris, and uneven terrain. The integrated winch plate allows for the secure mounting and operation of a recovery winch (sold separately).

• Skid Plate Function: The skid plate acts as a protective barrier. While it is designed to withstand impacts, avoid intentionally striking obstacles at high speeds.
• Winch Operation: If a winch is installed, refer to the winch manufacturer's instructions for safe and proper operation. Ensure the winch cable is routed correctly through the cable guide.
• Shackle Use: When using recovery shackles with the mounting brackets, ensure they are rated for the intended load and are properly secured.

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your skid plate and winch plate:

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the surface with mild soap and water to remove dirt, mud, and road grime. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent water spots.
