Setup

Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or outwards to open it. Refer to Figure 3 and Figure 4 for visual guidance.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment. Incorrect insertion can prevent the remote from functioning.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into position until it clicks securely.

Note: Always use new batteries of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Operating Instructions

This replacement remote control operates via infrared (IR) signals. For optimal performance, ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's IR emitter (located at the front tip) and the IR receiver on your Promethean ActivPanel display.

Basic Functions

• Power Button: Press to turn the display on or off.
• Number Pad (0-9): Use to directly input channel numbers or other numerical selections.
• Volume Up/Down (+/-): Adjust the audio volume.
• Channel Up/Down (+/-): Change the display channel.
• Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Use to navigate menus and confirm selections on the display.
• Menu Button: Access the display's main menu.
• Source Button: Cycle through available input sources (e.g., HDMI, VGA).
• Mute Button: Mute or unmute the audio.

Their specific functionality depends on the Promethean ActivPanel model and its software.

Maintenance
