4. Installation Guide
Tools Required (Not Included)
- Screwdriver (Phillips and/or Flathead)
- Wire Strippers
- Measuring Tape
- Drywall Saw or Hole Saw (for 4-1/4 inch diameter hole)
- Pencil
- Safety Glasses and Gloves
Preparation
- Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box to the area where you will be installing the lights. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Unpack all components and inspect for any damage.
- Determine the desired locations for your recessed lights. Ensure there is sufficient clearance above the ceiling for the rough-in plate and downlight driver box.
Rough-in Plate Installation (New Construction)
- Position the 26-inch rough-in plate between ceiling joists or T-bars. The plate is designed to fit various structure layouts.
- Secure the plate to the ceiling structure using appropriate fasteners (e.g., screws, nails, or clips, not included) through the designated mounting holes and tracks.
- Ensure the central circular opening of the plate is centered where you intend the downlight to be.

LED Downlight Installation
- Once the rough-in plate is secured and drywall is installed, mark and cut a 4-1/4 inch (108mm) diameter hole in the ceiling drywall at the center of the rough-in plate's opening.
- Open the remote driver box provided with the LED downlight.
- Connect the house wiring (AC120V, 60Hz) to the driver box. Use the provided wire connectors to connect the Live (black), Neutral (white), and Ground (green/bare copper) wires securely. Ensure proper polarity.
- Before closing the driver box, select your desired wattage (9W, 12W, or 15W) and color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K) using the switches located on the driver box.
- Close the driver box and secure it. Place the driver box above the ceiling, ensuring it does not interfere with the downlight.
- Connect the downlight's cable to the output cable of the driver box. Ensure the connection is firm.
- Gently push the spring clips on the sides of the downlight upwards. Insert the downlight into the cut hole in the ceiling. The spring clips will automatically engage and hold the light securely in place.
- Ensure the downlight is flush with the ceiling surface.
Final Check
Once all downlights are installed, restore power at the circuit breaker and test the lights to ensure they are functioning correctly.

5. Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off
The OHLECTRIC LED Recessed Downlight is controlled by a standard wall switch connected to the circuit. Simply toggle the switch to turn the lights on or off.
Adjusting Color Temperature (CCT) and Wattage
The color temperature (CCT) and wattage of your downlight are adjustable via switches located on the remote driver box. These settings should be selected during installation, before the downlight is fully recessed into the ceiling. The available CCT options are 2700K (Soft White), 3000K (Bright White), 3500K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White), and 5000K (Daylight). Wattage options are 9W, 12W, and 15W.

Dimming Function
The downlight supports TRIAC dimming from 100% down to 10%. For optimal performance and to avoid flickering, use a compatible TRIAC dimmer switch. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED lighting.
6. Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the fixture, ensure power is off at the circuit breaker. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these may damage the finish or electrical components.
Longevity
The OHLECTRIC LED downlights are designed for long-lasting performance. The galvanized steel rough-in plates offer excellent durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring the structural integrity of your installation for years to come. No user-serviceable parts are inside the LED downlight or driver box.
