Setup Instructions
- Choose Nozzle: Select the appropriate nozzle attachment (1/2" or 1/3") based on your desired water flow and lift height. The smaller nozzle typically provides a higher, more focused stream.
- Attach Hose: Connect your water hose or tubing to the selected nozzle.
- Position Pump: Place the pump securely at the bottom of your fountain, pond, aquarium, or hydroponic system. The suction cups on the base help to keep it in place. Ensure the pump is fully submerged in water.
- Connect Power: Plug the pump into a properly grounded electrical outlet with GFCI protection.
- Adjust Flow: Use the adjustable knob on the pump to set your desired water flow rate.

Operating Instructions
- Ensure the pump is always fully submerged in water during operation.
- Monitor water levels regularly, especially in outdoor applications, to prevent the auto-shut-off feature from engaging due to evaporation or splashing.
- The auto-shut-off feature will automatically turn off the pump if the water level becomes too low, protecting the motor from dry burning. It will resume operation once sufficient water is added.
- Adjust the flow rate as needed using the control knob.
Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. The pump is designed for easy disassembly without tools. Regularly clean the impeller and internal components to prevent mineral buildup and debris accumulation, which can reduce performance and lifespan.
- Check for Blockages: Periodically inspect the intake screen and nozzle for any blockages. Clear any debris to maintain optimal flow.
- Winter Storage: In colder climates, remove the pump from the water feature before freezing temperatures. Clean it thoroughly and store it in a dry, frost-free location.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump not operating | No power; Auto-shut-off activated; Impeller jammed. | Check power connection and GFCI. Ensure water level is adequate. Disconnect power, disassemble, and clean impeller. |
| Reduced water flow | Clogged intake screen or nozzle; Mineral buildup on impeller. | Clean intake screen and nozzle. Disassemble and clean impeller and pump housing. |
| Pump making unusual noise | Debris in impeller; Pump not fully submerged. | Disconnect power and clear any debris from the impeller. Ensure pump is fully submerged. |
