4. Operating Instructions
The Bear Mini Food Chopper features two speed settings for optimal processing of various food types.

Figure 4.1: Visual guide for selecting the appropriate speed setting based on food consistency.
- Speed I (Button with 'I'): Ideal for soft foods and ingredients that require a finer chop or quick blending.
- Examples: Vegetables (onions, peppers), fruits, garlic, chili peppers, cold soups.
- Press and hold the 'I' button for continuous operation. Release to stop.
- Speed II (Button with 'II'): Suitable for harder foods and ingredients that require more power to process.
- Examples: Meat, nuts, carrots, ham, cheese.
- Press and hold the 'II' button for continuous operation. Release to stop.
Important: For best results and to prevent overheating, operate the chopper in short pulses rather than continuous running, especially for harder ingredients. Allow the motor to rest between pulses.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Bear Mini Food Chopper, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet not working; motor unit not properly seated; lid not securely locked. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the motor unit is correctly placed on the lid and the lid is locked. |
| Motor runs but blades do not spin. | Blade assembly not properly installed on the shaft. | Unplug the appliance, remove the motor unit and lid, and re-install the blade assembly ensuring it is securely seated on the central shaft. |
| Food is not chopped evenly. | Too much food in the bowl; food pieces are too large; incorrect speed setting. | Process smaller batches. Cut large ingredients into smaller, uniform pieces before chopping. Use the appropriate speed setting (Speed II for harder foods). |
| Appliance stops during operation. | Overheating due to continuous use or processing too hard ingredients. | Unplug the appliance and let it cool down for at least 15-20 minutes. Reduce batch size or cut ingredients into smaller pieces. Use pulse function instead of continuous running. |
| Unusual smell during operation. | New appliance smell (normal for first few uses); motor overheating. | A slight smell during initial uses is normal. If the smell persists or is strong, unplug immediately and let the unit cool. Ensure not to overload the motor. If the problem continues, contact customer support. |
