Henf Aluminum Floor Jack 1.5T

Henf 1.5 Ton Hydraulic Low Profile Floor Jack Instruction Manual

Model: Aluminum Floor Jack 1.5T

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Henf 1.5 Ton Hydraulic Low Profile Floor Jack. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new floor jack. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

This floor jack is designed for lifting vehicles with a maximum capacity of 1.5 tons (3,000 lbs). Its low-profile design and dual pump system allow for quick and easy lifting, making it suitable for various automotive maintenance tasks.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.

  • Always read and understand the entire manual before operating the floor jack.
  • Do not exceed the rated capacity of 1.5 tons (3,000 lbs).
  • Use the jack only on a hard, level surface. Avoid uneven or soft ground.
  • Always use appropriate jack stands to support the vehicle after lifting. Never rely solely on the floor jack to support a vehicle.
  • Ensure the vehicle's parking brake is engaged and the wheels are chocked before lifting.
  • Center the load on the saddle. Off-center loads can cause the jack to tip.
  • Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts and the area under the vehicle.
  • Do not modify the jack or use it for purposes other than lifting vehicles.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and gloves.
  • If the jack shows signs of damage or malfunction, do not use it. Contact customer support.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged upon opening the package:

  • 1 x Henf 1.5 Ton Hydraulic Low Profile Floor Jack
  • 1 x Two-piece Handle Assembly
  • 1 x Rubber Saddle Pad

4. Setup and Initial Preparation

Before first use, the hydraulic system may contain air. It is necessary to purge the air from the system.

  1. Assemble the Handle: Insert the upper handle into the lower handle and secure it. Then, insert the assembled handle into the handle socket on the jack.
  2. Open Release Valve: Turn the handle counter-clockwise to fully open the release valve.
  3. Pump Handle: Pump the handle 10-15 full strokes to expel any air from the hydraulic system.
  4. Close Release Valve: Turn the handle clockwise to close the release valve.
  5. Test Lift: Test the jack by lifting it to its maximum height and then lowering it. Repeat this process a few times to ensure smooth operation.
  6. Attach Rubber Saddle Pad: Place the rubber saddle pad onto the jack's lifting saddle. This protects the vehicle's undercarriage.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Lifting a Vehicle

  1. Park the vehicle on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels that will remain on the ground.
  2. Locate the vehicle's manufacturer-recommended lifting points. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual.
  3. Position the floor jack so that the saddle is directly under the designated lifting point. Ensure the jack is stable and not on an angle.
  4. Turn the handle clockwise firmly to close the release valve.
  5. Pump the handle up and down to raise the jack. Continue pumping until the vehicle is lifted to the desired height.
  6. Immediately place appropriately rated jack stands under the vehicle's frame at the manufacturer-recommended support points.
  7. Slowly turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the release valve and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands. Once the vehicle is resting securely on the jack stands, remove the floor jack.

5.2. Lowering a Vehicle

  1. Ensure the area around and under the vehicle is clear of obstructions and personnel.
  2. Carefully position the floor jack under the vehicle's lifting point, ensuring the saddle is centered.
  3. Pump the handle a few times to slightly raise the vehicle off the jack stands.
  4. Remove the jack stands from under the vehicle.
  5. Slowly turn the handle counter-clockwise to gradually open the release valve. The vehicle will begin to lower. Control the lowering speed by adjusting how much you open the valve.
  6. Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the floor jack.

6. Maintenance

6.1. General Maintenance

  • Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris.
  • Lubricate all moving parts and pivot points with light machine oil periodically.
  • Inspect the jack before each use for any signs of damage, wear, or leaks. Do not use if damaged.
  • Store the jack in a dry, clean place with the ram fully retracted to prevent corrosion and extend seal life.

6.2. Hydraulic Oil Level Check

If the jack does not lift properly or fully, the hydraulic oil level may be low or air may be trapped in the system. Refer to the 'Setup and Initial Preparation' section for air purging. To check the oil level:

  1. Lower the jack completely.
  2. Locate the oil filler plug (usually a rubber plug on the side of the reservoir).
  3. Remove the plug. The oil level should be just below the filler hole.
  4. If necessary, add high-quality hydraulic jack oil (ISO VG 22 or equivalent) until the correct level is reached. Do not overfill.
  5. Replace the filler plug securely.
