2. Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Read all instructions thoroughly before installation and operation.
- Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to prevent back-drafting.
- When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- Clean grease laden surfaces frequently. Grease accumulating on filters or surfaces can ignite.
- Always turn off power to the range hood at the service panel before servicing or cleaning.

4. Installation Guide
4.1 Planning the Installation
Before installation, ensure you have the necessary tools and that the installation area meets the product's dimensions and electrical requirements. The hood can be installed as ducted (vented to the outside) or ductless (recirculating with carbon filters).
- Duct Requirements: 6-inch round ducting for ducted installation.
- Ceiling Height: The adjustable chimney is suitable for 8 to 9-foot ceilings.
- Electrical: 120V / 60Hz, 3-prong plug.

4.2 Mounting the Hood
- Determine the desired mounting height above your cooking surface.
- Mark the drilling points for the mounting brackets on the wall.
- Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Secure the mounting brackets to the wall.
- Carefully lift the range hood and hang it onto the mounting brackets.
- Connect the ducting (if ducted) or install carbon filters (if ductless).
- Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Install the adjustable chimney cover sections.

5. Operating Instructions
The range hood features a screen touch control panel and can also be operated via the included remote control.
5.1 Control Panel Functions

- Power Button (⏻): Press to turn the range hood ON or OFF.
- Fan Speed Button (⚙): Press to cycle through the 4 fan speed settings (Low, Medium, High, Max). The current speed will be displayed on the LCD.
- Light Button (💡): Press to turn the LED lights ON or OFF. Some models may have multiple brightness levels; press again to cycle.
- Timer Button (⏱): Press to activate the delay shut-off timer. The timer duration can typically be adjusted by repeated presses.
5.2 Remote Control
The remote control provides the same functionality as the touch control panel, allowing for convenient operation from a distance (up to 16 feet).
6. Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your range hood.
6.1 Cleaning the Baffle Filters
The stainless steel baffle filters are designed to trap grease and are washable and detachable.

- Ensure the range hood is turned OFF and unplugged from the power outlet.
- Locate the release latches on each baffle filter.
- Push the latch and gently pull down the filter to remove it.
- Clean the filters in a dishwasher or by hand using hot water and a mild detergent. For stubborn grease, soak them before cleaning.
- Allow filters to dry completely before re-installing.
- Insert the filters back into their slots and push until the latches click into place.
6.2 Cleaning Exterior Surfaces
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can damage the finish.
