Setup Guide

Package Contents:

Initial Setup:

  1. Charge the Mouse: Connect the USB-C charging cable to the mouse and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The mouse will indicate charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
  2. Retrieve USB Receiver: The 2.4GHz USB receiver is typically stored in a compartment on the underside of the mouse for safekeeping. Gently remove it.
  3. Power On: Locate the power switch on the bottom of the mouse and slide it to the "ON" position.

Operating Instructions

Connectivity Modes:

The R1 mouse supports three connection modes: Wired, 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.2. You can switch between these modes using the switch on the bottom of the mouse.

  • Wired Mode: Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the provided USB-C cable. The mouse will function immediately and charge simultaneously.
  • 2.4GHz Wireless Mode:
    1. Plug the 2.4GHz USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
    2. Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "2.4G" position.
    3. The mouse should automatically connect. If not, press the pairing button (if available, refer to the diagram on the mouse bottom) or re-plug the receiver.
  • Bluetooth 5.2 Mode:
    1. Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "BT" position.
    2. On your computer or device, open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
    3. The mouse should appear as "R1 Mouse" or similar. Select it to pair.
    4. For forced pairing, short press the BT channel switch and hold for 3 seconds.

DPI Adjustment:

The R1 mouse features a dedicated DPI button, typically located behind the scroll wheel. Press this button to cycle through the preset DPI levels (800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, 6400, up to 18000 DPI). The mouse may have an indicator light to show the current DPI setting.

Software Customization:

To unlock the full potential of your R1 mouse, download and install the official driver software from the MAGIC-REFINER website. The software allows you to:

  • Program all 7 buttons with custom functions or macros.
  • Adjust DPI levels and create custom profiles.
  • Set polling rates (up to 1000Hz).
  • Monitor battery level.
  • Save settings to the mouse's onboard memory.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the mouse surface. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Sensor Care: Keep the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse clean and free of dust or debris to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a cool, dry place. If using the 2.4GHz wireless mode, consider storing the USB receiver in its dedicated compartment on the mouse's underside.
  • Battery Life: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator is low.

Troubleshooting

  • For 2.4GHz: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in. Try a different USB port.
  • For Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the mouse is paired. Try re-pairing.
  • Move closer to the receiver/device to reduce interference.
Mouse cursor erratic or jumpy
  • Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse.
  • Use the mouse on a clean, uniform surface or a mouse pad.
  • Check for strong electromagnetic interference nearby.
Buttons or scroll wheel not working
  • Ensure the mouse is fully charged.
  • Try connecting the mouse in wired mode to see if the issue persists.
  • Reset the mouse (if a reset button is available, refer to the product diagram).
  • Reinstall the driver software.
Cannot connect via Bluetooth
  • Ensure the mouse is in Bluetooth pairing mode (short press BT channel switch and hold for 3 seconds).
  • Make sure your device's Bluetooth is on and discoverable.
  • Remove previous pairings of the mouse from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Restart your device.
