  • Download the official driver software from the MAGIC-REFINER website.
  • Install the software on your Windows or macOS computer.
  • Use the software to:
    • Program all 7 buttons with custom functions or macros.
    • Adjust DPI levels and set up to 6 different DPI profiles.
    • Change the polling rate (e.g., 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz).
    • Monitor battery status.
    • Save configurations to the mouse's onboard memory.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and appearance:

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Use a cotton swab or compressed air to clean dust and debris from around the scroll wheel and sensor area.
  • Ensure the mouse is powered off and disconnected before cleaning.

6.2 Battery Care

The R1 mouse is equipped with a long-life rechargeable battery.

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • Store the mouse in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • If the mouse will not be used for a long time, charge it to about 50% before storing.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Mouse Not Responding

  • Check Battery: Ensure the mouse is charged. Connect it via USB-C cable to check if it functions in wired mode.
  • Check Connection Mode: Verify the mode switch on the underside of the mouse is set correctly for your desired connection (2.4G, BT, or Wired).
  • 2.4GHz Wireless: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different USB port.
  • Bluetooth: Re-pair the mouse with your device. Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Wired: Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the mouse and the computer.

7.2 Inconsistent Tracking or Jitter

  • Clean Sensor: Dust or debris on the optical sensor can cause tracking issues. Clean the sensor area with compressed air or a cotton swab.
  • Mouse Pad/Surface: Use the mouse on a clean, uniform surface or a high-quality mouse pad. Avoid reflective or transparent surfaces.
  • DPI Settings: Adjust DPI settings through the mouse button or driver software to find a suitable sensitivity.
  • Mouse Skates: If you have replaced the mouse skates with thicker ones (e.g., 0.8-1.2mm), this may interfere with the sensor's performance, causing a delay in responsiveness after lifting the mouse. Consider using thinner skates (0.6mm) or the original skates.

7.3 Buttons Unresponsive or Double-Clicking

  • Driver Software: Ensure the driver software is up-to-date. Reset button assignments to default if custom settings are causing issues.
  • Physical Debris: Check for any physical obstructions or debris around the buttons.
  • Firmware Update: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates for the mouse, which may resolve button issues.

7.4 Scroll Wheel Malfunction

  • Clean Scroll Wheel: Dust or hair can get lodged in the scroll wheel mechanism. Use compressed air to clear any obstructions.
  • Software Conflict: If using custom software or drivers, try uninstalling them temporarily to see if the issue persists with default settings.
