2. Safety Information
- Battery Safety: Use only specified AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period.

4.1 Controls and Functions
- Power Button (⑂): Press and hold to power on/off. Press to switch between FM/AM/SW bands.
- Lock Button (🔒): Hold to lock/unlock buttons. Press to turn on backlight.
- Preset Buttons (1, 2, 3): Hold to save a favorite station. Press to quickly access saved stations.
- Time/DEL Button: In power-off state, hold to set time. Long press in power-on state to delete a radio station from memory.
- Scan/Set Button: In FM/AM/SW mode, hold for auto scan. In SW mode, press to select different meter bands.
- +/- Buttons: Adjust frequency, time, or navigate through saved stations.
- Volume Wheel: Located on the side, rotate to adjust volume.
- Tuning Wheel: Located on the side, rotate to manually tune frequencies.
- Antenna: Extendable telescopic antenna for improved reception.

5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
The clooblut RD218 radio operates on two (2) AA batteries (not included).
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover downwards to open the compartment.
- Insert two new AA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.

6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
- To turn the radio ON, press and hold the Power (⑂) button.
- To turn the radio OFF, press and hold the Power (⑂) button again.
6.2 Band Selection
- While the radio is on, press the Power (⑂) button briefly to cycle through the available bands: FM → AM → SW. The selected band will be displayed on the LCD screen.
6.3 Tuning Stations
There are two methods for tuning:
- Manual Tuning: Rotate the Tuning Wheel on the side of the radio to manually adjust the frequency.
- Automatic Scan: Press and hold the Scan/Set button to automatically scan for and stop at the next available station.
6.4 Adjusting Volume
- Rotate the Volume Wheel on the side of the radio to increase or decrease the sound level.
6.5 Preset Stations
The radio allows you to save up to 3 favorite stations for quick access.

- To Save a Station: Tune to the desired station. Press and hold one of the preset buttons (1, 2, or 3) until the display confirms it's saved.
- To Recall a Station: Briefly press the corresponding preset button (1, 2, or 3) to instantly switch to the saved station.
6.6 Setting the Clock
- Ensure the radio is powered OFF.
- Press and hold the Time/DEL button. The hour digits will start flashing.
- Use the +/- buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press the Time/DEL button again to move to the minute digits.
- Use the +/- buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the Time/DEL button once more to confirm and exit time setting mode.
6.7 Digital Alarm Clock
The radio includes a digital alarm clock function.

- To Set Alarm: While the radio is powered OFF, press the Alarm button (often combined with Power or Time/DEL, refer to Figure 4.1 for exact button). The alarm time will flash. Use the +/- buttons to set the desired alarm hour and minute. Press the Alarm button again to confirm.
- To Activate/Deactivate Alarm: Briefly press the Alarm button to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
- To Stop Alarm: When the alarm sounds, press any button to silence it. It will typically reset for the next day.
6.8 Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period.
- While the radio is powered ON, press the Sleep Timer button (often combined with Power or Time/DEL, refer to Figure 4.1 for exact button).
- Repeatedly press the Sleep Timer button to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF). The selected time will be displayed.
- The radio will automatically turn off after the set duration.
6.9 Key Backlight
- To activate the key backlight, briefly press the Lock (🔒) button. The backlight will illuminate for a few seconds to assist with operation in low-light conditions.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Care: Replace batteries when the display indicates low power or when performance degrades. Always replace both batteries at the same time.
