Decarboxylation Cycle

Decarboxylation is essential for activating herbs. The EdiWhip 2.0 provides an efficient and odor-controlled method.

  1. Prepare Herbs: Grind your dry herbs to a medium consistency.
  2. Load: Place up to 1 ounce of ground herbs into the stainless steel chamber.
  3. Secure Decarb Lid: Place the purple decarb lid on top of the herbs inside the chamber. This creates a sealed environment to optimize decarboxylation and contain odors.
  4. Close Main Lid: Place the main lid securely on the machine. Ensure it is properly seated to avoid a "Lid" error.
  5. Select Decarb: Press the 'Decarb' button on the control panel. The default time and temperature for decarboxylation will be displayed (e.g., 240°F).
  6. Start Cycle: Press the 'Start/Stop' button to begin the decarboxylation process.
  7. Cool Down: Once the cycle is complete, the machine will beep. Allow the unit to cool for at least 15-20 minutes before opening the lid.

Infusion Cycles (Oil, Butter, Tincture, Low&Slow)

After decarboxylation, you can proceed with infusion. The EdiWhip 2.0 offers specific presets for different infusion types.

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Add your decarboxylated herbs and the chosen infusion medium (e.g., butter, oil, or alcohol for tincture) into the stainless steel chamber. Ensure the liquid level is between the minimum and maximum fill lines.
  2. Close Lid: Securely place the main lid on the machine.
  3. Select Cycle: Choose the appropriate preset button: 'Oil', 'Butter', 'Tincture', or 'Low&Slow'. The machine will display the default time and temperature for the selected cycle.
  4. Adjust Settings (Optional): If desired, use the 'Time' and 'Temp' buttons to adjust the duration and temperature. The time range is 15 minutes to 12 hours, and the temperature range is 100°F to 270°F (or no heat option).
  5. Start Cycle: Press the 'Start/Stop' button to begin the infusion process.
  6. Strain: Once the cycle is complete and the machine has cooled, carefully pour the infused mixture through the provided strainer into a heat-safe container.
