Setup

Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with this product.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch (if present) to open the compartment.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions

To operate your Pioneer Micro CD Receiver System with this remote control, ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's infrared emitter and the receiver's IR sensor. Point the remote directly at the receiver.

Key Functions:

• STANDBY/ON: Powers the receiver on or off (standby mode).
• OPEN/CLOSE: Opens or closes the CD tray.
• CD, USB, TUNER, AUDIO IN, iPod, BT AUDIO: Selects the corresponding input source.
• CLOCK/TIMER, SLEEP: Accesses clock, timer, and sleep functions.
• EQUALIZER, P.BASS, BASS/TREBLE: Adjusts audio equalization and bass/treble levels.
• Number Buttons (0-9): Used for direct track selection, radio station tuning, or menu navigation.
• CLEAR, REPEAT, RANDOM: Playback control functions.
• DISPLAY, FOLDER: Controls display information and folder navigation.
• Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right, ENTER): Navigates through menus and confirms selections.
• MENU, MEMORY/PROGRAM: Accesses system menus and programming functions.
• PRESET (+/-), TUNE (+/-): Navigates radio presets and tunes frequencies.
• VOLUME (+/-), MUTE: Adjusts the audio volume and mutes sound.
• DIMMER: Adjusts display brightness.
• Playback Controls (Play, Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Backward): Controls media playback.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Battery Care

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period (e.g., one month or more), remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage, which can cause damage to the remote.

Troubleshooting

• Remote Control Not Responding:
  • Ensure fresh AAA batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity.
  • Verify there are no obstructions between the remote control and the receiver's IR sensor.
  • Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the receiver.
  • Test the remote by pointing it at a digital camera or smartphone camera; if you see a light flash from the remote's emitter when pressing a button, the remote is likely transmitting a signal.
