1. Introduction

This document provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your replacement remote control for AmberGlo Electric Fireplace Infrared Quartz Space Heaters. This remote is designed to function as a direct replacement for your original remote control.

Important: Please ensure your current remote control matches the appearance of the remote shown in this manual and that your fireplace model number is listed above for compatibility. This remote is specifically designed for the listed AmberGlo models and may not function with other devices.

2. Package Contents

• 1 x Replacement Remote Control
• 1 x Wall Mount Clip (optional use)

Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately. This remote requires two (2) CR2025 batteries.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

To install the batteries, follow these steps:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Gently press and slide the battery cover in the direction indicated by the 'RELEASE' arrow.
3. Insert two (2) CR2025 batteries, ensuring the positive (+) side of each battery faces upwards as indicated by the diagram inside the compartment.
4. Slide the battery cover back into place until it clicks securely.

3.2 Initial Use

No programming or pairing is required. Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use with compatible AmberGlo electric fireplaces.

4. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the infrared receiver on your AmberGlo electric fireplace. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace.

4.1 Button Functions

• Power Button (⏻): Turns the fireplace ON or OFF.
• Timer Button (⏱): Activates or adjusts the fireplace's timer function. Refer to your fireplace manual for specific timer settings.
• Flame Button (🔥): Controls the flame effect settings (e.g., brightness, color).
• Temperature Button (⛆): Adjusts the thermostat or temperature settings.
• Settings Button (⚙): Accesses additional settings or modes. Refer to your fireplace manual for specific functions.
• Plus Button (+): Increases values such as temperature, timer duration, or flame brightness.
• Minus Button (-): Decreases values such as temperature, timer duration, or flame brightness.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's range decreases or it stops responding. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new CR2025 batteries.
• Storage: If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.

• Remote not responding:
  • Check if the batteries are installed correctly with the correct polarity.
  • Replace old batteries with new CR2025 batteries.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace's infrared receiver.
  • Confirm the remote is pointed directly at the fireplace.
• Limited range:
  • Replace batteries with new ones.
  • Ensure no strong light sources (e.g., direct sunlight) are interfering with the infrared signal.
• Remote does not control fireplace:
  • Verify that your fireplace model is one of the compatible models listed in this manual.
  • Confirm that the remote control's appearance matches your original remote.
