This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your new lighting fixture. The Marais vanity light brings a vintage Parisian flair with its arched design. It features a single Edison-style LED bulb that casts a warm glow, complemented by brass accents and a clear glass globe. Its industrial bohemian style is suitable for various spaces including bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and entryways.

Setup and Installation

Tools Required (Not Included):

• Phillips head screwdriver
• Flathead screwdriver
• Wire strippers
• Electrical tape
• Safety glasses

Installation Steps:

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker that supplies power to the light fixture outlet box. Turn off the power. Verify the power is off using a voltage tester.
2. Prepare Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate to the electrical outlet box using the provided screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
3. Wire Connections:
   • Connect the fixture's ground wire (bare copper or green) to the house's ground wire using a wire nut.
   • Connect the fixture's white wire (neutral) to the house's white wire (neutral) using a wire nut.
   • Connect the fixture's black wire (hot) to the house's black wire (hot) using a wire nut.
   • Carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
4. Mount Fixture: Align the fixture's base with the mounting plate and secure it with the provided screws.
5. Install Bulb: Carefully screw the included LED bulb into the E26 bulb base.
6. Attach Glass Shade: Secure the clear glass globe to the fixture according to the design.
7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

Operating Instructions

The JONATHAN Y Marais Vanity Light is designed for simple operation via a standard wall switch.

• Turning On/Off: Use your existing wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
• Dimming: This light fixture is compatible with LED-compatible dimmers. If you wish to use a dimming function, ensure your wall dimmer switch is specifically designed for LED lighting.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your light fixture.

• Cleaning: To clean the fixture, ensure the power is off and the fixture has cooled. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
• Bulb Replacement: The included LED bulb has a long lifespan (approximately 50,000 hours). If replacement is necessary, ensure the power is off and the bulb has cooled. Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new E26 base LED bulb, not exceeding 40 watts.

Warranty Information

The JONATHAN Y Marais Vanity Light comes with a 30-day manufacturer warranty for defects only. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. Visible damages not noted upon delivery will be determined to be customer damage and will not be warranted. All products are inspected upon arrival, and worn, dirty, or stained merchandise will not be accepted for warranty claims.
