4. Setup
Before first use, perform the following setup steps:
- Unpacking: Remove the generator and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Add Engine Oil: The generator is shipped without engine oil. Place the generator on a level surface. Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick. Slowly add 0.37 quarts (0.35 liters) of 10W-30 engine oil. Do not overfill. Reinstall the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Add Fuel: Ensure the generator is off and cool. Remove the fuel cap. Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not overfill. Securely replace the fuel cap.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Generator
- Ensure the generator is on a level, outdoor surface, away from combustible materials.
