2. Safety Information

WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause property damage, injury, or death. Consult a qualified installer, service agency, or the gas supplier for information or assistance.

  • Always disconnect power before servicing or cleaning the unit.
  • Ensure the unit is properly grounded to prevent electrical shock.
  • Do not block the air intake or outlet of the indoor or outdoor units.
  • Keep children and pets away from the outdoor unit.
  • Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Contact qualified service personnel.
  • Use only the specified refrigerant type.
  • Installation should be performed by a professional air conditioning installer.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged upon delivery. The system is typically shipped in two separate boxes.

4. Setup and Installation

NOTE: Installation of this product should be done only by qualified professionals to ensure safety and proper operation. Incorrect installation can lead to system malfunction, property damage, or injury.

4.1 Site Selection

Choose a location for the indoor unit that allows for even air distribution and is away from direct sunlight or heat sources. The outdoor unit should be placed on a stable, level surface with adequate clearance for airflow and maintenance.

4.2 Mounting the Indoor Unit

  1. Mount the installation plate securely on the wall, ensuring it is level.
  2. Drill a hole through the wall for the refrigerant pipes, drain hose, and communication wires.
  3. Connect the refrigerant pipes, drain hose, and communication wires to the indoor unit.
  4. Mount the indoor unit onto the installation plate.

4.3 Installing the Outdoor Unit

  1. Place the outdoor unit on a firm, level base.
  2. Connect the refrigerant pipes, drain hose, and communication wires from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.
  3. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.

4.4 Electrical Connections

Connect the power supply according to local electrical codes and the wiring diagram provided in the full installation manual. This unit requires a 208-230V power supply.

4.5 Vacuuming and Refrigerant Charging

Evacuate the system using a vacuum pump to remove air and moisture. Once vacuumed, release the refrigerant from the outdoor unit into the system. This step is critical for system efficiency and longevity.

5. Operating Instructions

Your SIMOE Mini Split system offers multiple modes and features for optimal comfort and energy efficiency. All functions are controlled via the included remote control.

5.1 Basic Functions

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to start or stop the unit.
  • Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through: Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan.
  • Temperature Adjustment: Use the SET TEMP buttons (up/down arrows) to set your desired temperature (60°F - 90°F).
  • Fan Speed: Press the SPEED button to select Low, Medium, High, or Auto fan speed.

5.2 Smart Modes & Features

  • Sleep Mode: Activates a quiet, energy-saving operation that gradually adjusts the temperature for comfortable sleep. The unit will automatically turn off after 10 hours of continuous operation in this mode.
  • ECO Mode: Optimizes energy consumption by adjusting the temperature and fan speed to maintain comfort with reduced power usage.
  • i-Feel Mode: The remote control acts as a thermostat, sensing the temperature at its location and adjusting the unit's operation to maintain the desired temperature around you.
  • 24-Hour Timer: Set the unit to turn on or off automatically at a specified time within a 24-hour period.
  • 4D Air Supply: The unit features automatic oscillation of both horizontal and vertical louvers to distribute air evenly throughout the room, preventing direct drafts.

5.3 Inverter Technology

The SIMOE Mini Split utilizes innovative inverter technology, which continuously adjusts the compressor speed to maintain the set temperature without frequently turning the compressor on and off. This results in stable, silent, and efficient operation, significantly reducing energy costs compared to non-inverter systems.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your SIMOE Mini Split system.

6.1 Filter Cleaning

The removable filter should be cleaned regularly, typically every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and air quality. To clean:

  1. Open the front panel of the indoor unit.
  2. Remove the air filters.
  3. Wash the filters with lukewarm water and a mild detergent.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.

6.2 Self-Cleaning Mode

Your unit features a 4-step self-cleaning function to maintain internal hygiene and provide fresh air. Activate this mode via the remote control.

The self-cleaning process includes:

  1. Deep condensation of water
  2. Frost formation
  3. Defrost rinse
  4. 135°F (57°C) high-temperature evaporation washing

6.3 Outdoor Unit Maintenance

Periodically check the outdoor unit for any obstructions (leaves, debris) and clean the coils with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Ensure the area around the outdoor unit is clear for proper airflow.
