2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of injury, electric shock, or damage to the product.

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Do not operate the vacuum if it is damaged in any way.
  • Keep the charging port dry and clean. Do not charge the unit near water or with wet hands.
  • Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer.
  • Do not allow children to operate this appliance. Supervise children and pets around the pool area.
  • Ensure the vacuum is fully submerged before activating to prevent motor damage.
  • Do not attempt to clean algae or fine silt with this vacuum, as it is not designed for such particles and may clog the filter or redistribute them.
  • Store the vacuum in a dry, cool place when not in use.

4. Setup and Assembly

The XTROVAC 310 requires minimal, tool-free assembly.

4.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Ensure the charging port on the vacuum unit is dry.
  2. Connect the USB charging cable to the vacuum unit and a suitable USB power adapter (not included).
  3. Allow approximately 4.5 to 6 hours for a full charge. The indicator light will change to show charging status (refer to product specific indicator details if available on unit).
  4. Do not operate the vacuum while charging.

4.2 Assembling the Vacuum

  1. Install the Filter: Choose either the standard stainless steel filter (for larger debris like gravel, leaves) or the fine filter bag (for fine sand and particles). Insert the chosen filter into the designated compartment in the main vacuum unit. Ensure it is securely seated.
  2. Attach a Vacuum Head: Select the XL oversized pivoting head for general pool floor cleaning or the flat brush head for hard-to-reach areas like corners and steps. Align the head with the vacuum unit and snap it into place.
  3. Assemble the Pole: Connect the 5 sections of the aluminum pole by pushing the buttons and sliding them together until they lock. The pole provides a reach of 2.5 to 6 feet.
  4. Connect the Pole to the Vacuum: Attach the assembled pole to the vacuum unit. For extended reach with a standard telescopic pole (not included), use the provided pole connector.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for effective pool cleaning with your XTROVAC 310.

5.1 Preparing for Cleaning

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
  • Select the appropriate filter for the type of debris you are cleaning. Use the 250µ filter for general debris (leaves, gravel) and the 106µ filter for fine sand. Note: The fine filter may slightly reduce suction power.
  • Attach the desired vacuum head (XL pivoting for general cleaning, flat brush for targeted spot cleaning).

5.2 Cleaning Your Pool

  1. Submerge the Vacuum: Gently lower the vacuum unit into the water until it is fully submerged. The unit is designed to activate automatically once submerged.
  2. Start Cleaning: Press the one-button control to begin operation.
  3. Maneuver the Vacuum: Guide the vacuum across the pool floor and walls using the pole. The XL pivoting head is effective for broad areas, while the flat brush is ideal for corners, steps, and tight spots.
  4. Handheld Use: For smaller areas, steps, or spas, the vacuum can be used without the pole for handheld spot cleaning.
  5. Operating Time: The XTROVAC 310 provides approximately 30 minutes of continuous cleaning on a full charge.
  6. Remove from Water: When finished or when the battery is low, lift the vacuum out of the water. The unit will automatically power off.
