The EcoPro Compact filter is designed for quick and easy installation without the need for special tools. It is compatible with 95% of standard faucets with diameters 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, and 24mm.

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove the aerator: Unscrew the existing aerator from your kitchen faucet.
  2. Screw on the filter: Attach the EcoPro Compact filter directly onto the faucet thread. Ensure it is securely tightened to prevent leaks.
  3. Initial Flush: After installation, turn on the filtered water for 30 seconds to flush out any air or loose carbon particles.

Important Note:

  • This filter is not compatible with pull-out, hand-held, or spray-style faucets.
  • It does not fit faucets with sensors or those with oval or broken threads.
  • Ensure your faucet has a standard thread for proper attachment.

3. Operating Instructions

The EcoPro Compact features a simple lever to switch between filtered and unfiltered water, allowing you to extend the life of your filter cartridge by only using filtered water when needed.

Using the Filter:

  • Filtered Water: To dispense filtered water, move the small lever on the side of the filter to the 'ON' position. Water will flow through the filter for purification.
  • Unfiltered Water: To dispense unfiltered water (e.g., for washing dishes or hands), move the lever to the 'OFF' position. Water will bypass the filter.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance, primarily filter cartridge replacement, is crucial to ensure optimal performance and continued water quality.

Filter Cartridge Replacement:

  • Each replacement cartridge filters up to 440 liters of water.
  • It is recommended to change the filter cartridge every 2 months for best results and consistent filtration.
  • To replace, simply unscrew the bottom part of the filter housing, remove the old cartridge, insert a new one, and screw the housing back on.

The EcoPro Compact uses a 5-stage nano-filtration technology:

  1. Propylene mesh
  2. Adsorption of activated carbon
  3. Carbon block microfiltration
  4. Prevents limescale and retains heavy metals
  5. Sieve

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Tappwater EcoPro Compact filter, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Filter does not fit the tap:
Ensure your faucet is a standard type and not a pull-out, hand-held, spray-style, or sensor faucet. Verify the diameter of your faucet's thread (16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm). If your faucet has an unusual or broken thread, the filter may not be compatible.
  • Low water flow from filter:
This may indicate that the filter cartridge is nearing the end of its life or is clogged. Replace the cartridge as per the maintenance instructions (every 2 months or 440 liters). Ensure the filter is securely attached and there are no kinks in your faucet's internal plumbing.
  • Water taste or odor not improved:
Ensure the filter cartridge is correctly installed and that you performed the initial 30-second flush. If the issue persists after replacing the cartridge, contact customer support.
  • Leaking from the filter connection:
Ensure the filter is tightly screwed onto the faucet. Check the rubber washers (o-rings) inside the connection for proper seating and ensure they are not damaged. Do not overtighten, as this can also cause damage.
