Setup and Installation

1. Battery Installation

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover from the thermostat.
  2. Insert 3 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

2. Mounting to Radiator

The thermostat comes with various adapters to fit different radiator valves. Identify the correct adapter for your valve type.

  • If your radiator valve is a standard M30x1.5, you may not need an adapter.
  • For other valve types (e.g., Danfoss RA, RAV, RAV L, Caleffi, Giacomini), select the appropriate adapter.
  • Attach the chosen adapter to your radiator valve.
  • Screw the thermostat onto the adapter or directly onto the valve until it is securely fastened.

3. App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile device's app store (App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android).
  2. Register or log in to your account.
  3. On the thermostat, press and hold the central button for 3 seconds until the WiFi icon blinks rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
  4. Open the app, tap the '+' icon in the top right corner, and select 'Add Device' or 'Auto Scan'.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the thermostat to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. Ensure your phone is also connected to the same 2.4GHz network.
  6. Once connected, you can rename the device and begin controlling it via the app.

Operating Instructions

1. Manual Control

You can manually adjust the temperature directly on the thermostat by rotating the knob. The current temperature will be displayed on the screen.

2. App Control

Use the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app to remotely control your thermostat. You can:

  • Adjust the target temperature.
  • Set heating schedules.
  • Activate/deactivate features like open window detection or child lock.
  • Monitor temperature history and energy usage.

3. Voice Control (Alexa / Google Home)

4. Programming Schedule

Set up a 7-day programmable weekly schedule with up to 4 time periods per day via the app to optimize heating and save energy.

5. Open Window Detection

This feature automatically detects a sudden drop in temperature (more than 1.5°C within 5 minutes), indicating an open window. The thermostat will temporarily turn off heating for 30 minutes to prevent energy waste. Heating resumes if no operation is performed for 30 minutes or if the temperature rises by more than 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes. This function must be enabled in the app.

6. Temperature Calibration

7. Display Orientation

The digital display can be rotated to two orientations for easier reading, depending on how the thermostat is mounted. Press the setup button to switch the display orientation.

Maintenance
