1. Introduction

The MOOER S1 Multi-Effects Processor is a compact and versatile digital effects unit designed for electric guitarists. It integrates a wide array of guitar effects, a tuner, metronome, drum machine, and looper, all controllable via its built-in footswitches or a dedicated mobile application. Its portable design and integrated battery make it ideal for practice, travel, jamming, and direct USB/OTG recording.

2. Key Features

• Light-weight & Portable: Integrated lithium battery with support for mobile power bank charging. Presetswitching, drum machine, and looper can be controlled via footswitch smoothly.
• Stereo Output: Individual headphone output and two main outputs allow users to set stereo connections for enhanced audio experience.
• Extensive Effects Library: Features 126 guitar effects, a tuner, 10 metronome styles, 40 drum machine patterns, and an 80-second looper.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Connections

Before powering on your MOOER S1, ensure all necessary connections are made.

1. Guitar Input: Connect your electric guitar to the 1/4" mono audio input jack labeled "INPUT" on the rear panel.
2. Output to Amplifier/Mixer: Use 1/4" mono audio cables to connect the "OUTPUT L" and "OUTPUT R" jacks to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface. The S1 supports stereo connections.
3. Headphones: For private practice, connect your headphones to the 1/8" stereo audio jack labeled "PHONES".
4. USB Connection: Use the provided USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the S1 to a computer for charging, firmware updates, or direct USB recording.

3.2 Powering On and Initial Use

To power on the device, toggle the "POWER" switch to the "ON" position. The display screen will illuminate, showing the current status. The LED indicators on the left will show charging status, battery power, Bluetooth connection, and wireless footswitch connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Footswitch Control

The MOOER S1 features four multi-function footswitches (A, B, C, D) for hands-free operation.

• Preset Switching: Press individual footswitches (A, B, C, D) to switch between different presets within the same bank.
• Bank Navigation:
  • Press footswitches C + D simultaneously to scroll up to the next bank.
  • Press footswitches A + B simultaneously to scroll down to the previous bank.
• Looper + Drum Mode: Press footswitches B + C simultaneously to enter the Looper + Drum mode. Press them again to exit.
• Tuner Access: In normal mode, press and hold any footswitch to quickly access the tuner.

4.2 Mobile App Control (MOOER Prime App)

The MOOER Prime App provides comprehensive control and customization options for your S1.

1. Download App: Search for "Mooer Prime" in your device's App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) and install it.
2. Connect via Bluetooth:
   • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
   • Open the MOOER Prime App and select the "Stomp Series" (S1).
   • Click "Search Device" and select "Prime S1" from the list to connect.
3. Effect Chain Management:
   • Tap on an effect module to select it, and tap again to turn it On/Off.
   • Press and hold a module to change its order in the chain.
   • Adjust parameters (Gain, Tone, Volume, etc.) using the on-screen sliders.
4. Preset Library:
   • Access the "Library" to browse presets by music style.
   • Select a preset, then click the "Save" icon to save it to a different slot or rename it.
5. Mixer Control:
   • The "Mixer" section allows control over Bluetooth playback level, USB playback level, instrument level, and master volume.

5. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the S1 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: The integrated lithium battery should be charged regularly, even if the unit is not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
• Firmware Updates: Regularly check for firmware updates via the MOOER Prime App or MOOER's official website to ensure optimal performance and access new features.
