  2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch (if present) to open it.

2. Pairing with TVIP Media Center (Bluetooth Connection)

This remote control supports Bluetooth connectivity for enhanced functionality. Follow these steps to pair it with your TVIP media center:

  1. Ensure your TVIP media center is powered on.
  2. Locate the small reset/pairing button on the bottom of your TVIP media center.
  3. Using a thin tool (e.g., a paperclip), press and hold this button for approximately 10 seconds. The media center will enter pairing mode and begin searching for a new Bluetooth remote.
  4. On the Meentek remote control, simultaneously press and hold the INFO and EPG keys. Continue holding until the LED indicator on the remote starts to blink.
  5. The media center's indicator will blink rapidly for a few seconds once it detects the remote.
  6. Release the INFO and EPG keys. The connection should now be established.

Note: A single LED blink after a key press indicates a successful Bluetooth connection. Multiple LED blinks indicate an IR connection. Fast LED blinking during pairing indicates the remote is connecting to the media center.

Cleaning

To clean your remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or the LED indicator fails to light up consistently. Always replace both AAA batteries at the same time with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

Troubleshooting

Remote Not Responding

  • Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
  • Line of Sight (IR Mode): If using IR, ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the TVIP media center. Remove any obstructions.
  • Re-pair Bluetooth: If the remote is connected via Bluetooth and stops responding, try re-pairing it by following the "Pairing with TVIP Media Center" instructions in the Setup section.
  • Restart Devices: Power cycle both the TVIP media center and the remote (by removing and reinserting batteries).

LED Indicator Behavior

  • Single Blink: Indicates a successful Bluetooth connection.
  • Multiple Blinks: Indicates an IR connection.
  • Fast Blinking: Occurs when the remote is actively connecting to the media center during pairing.
  • No Blink: Check batteries or if the remote is faulty.
