Setup and Installation

Battery Installation for Sensors

The motion sensors require 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries. Use the provided screwdriver to open the battery compartment.

Sensor Placement

Fix the motion sensors to the desired monitoring location (walls, fences, trees, etc.). The optimal PIR detection range is 0-20 feet. Consider the horizontal angle of 45° and vertical angle of 15° for effective coverage. Avoid placing sensors where they might be triggered by small animals, falling leaves, or direct sunlight/wind to minimize false alarms.

Receiver Setup and Pairing

Plug the receiver into an indoor outlet. The sensors and receiver are pre-paired from the factory. If re-pairing is needed or you are adding more sensors (up to 58), follow the pairing instructions below.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the system will alert you when motion is detected within the sensor's monitoring range. A red light will flash for 1 second on the sensor, and a wireless signal will be transmitted to the receiver, triggering an audible alert.

Adjusting Volume and Ringtones

The receiver offers 5 volume levels and up to 58 ringtones. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons on the receiver to cycle through the ringtones. To set your chosen ringtone, press the 'Volume' and 'Down' buttons simultaneously.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement for Sensors

When the sensor's battery is low, the performance may be affected. Replace the 4 AA batteries as needed, ensuring correct positive and negative pole placement.

Weather Resistance

The motion detector alarm is IP44 waterproof, allowing it to function outdoors in wind and rain. It effectively prevents splashing water intrusion. However, the device should not be immersed in water for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

  • False Alarms: Ensure the sensor is positioned correctly, avoiding areas with frequent movement from small animals, strong winds, or direct sunlight. The microwave-infrared combined sensor is designed to reduce false alarms, but optimal placement is crucial.
  • No Alert/Sensor Not Working: Check battery levels in the sensor. Ensure the receiver is plugged in and powered. Verify that the sensor and receiver are properly paired.
  • Difficulty with Battery Compartment Screws: Use the correct size Phillips head screwdriver to avoid stripping the screw heads.
  • Batteries Not Staying Positioned: After removing the battery, gently press the metal tab of the battery slot to ensure a snug fit for the new battery.
  • Resetting the System: If you experience persistent issues or wish to clear all pairings, you may need to reset the system.
