1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your HYLONE Drafting Chair:

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the chair base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base.
3. Attach Footring: Slide the footring over the gas lift cylinder. Adjust it to your desired height and tighten the knob on the footring to secure it in place.
4. Attach Armrests to Seat: Secure the armrests to the underside of the chair seat using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Ensure the armrests are oriented correctly (flip-up mechanism facing outwards).
5. Attach Backrest to Seat: Connect the backrest to the seat mechanism using the designated screws. Ensure a secure fit.
6. Connect Seat Assembly to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the top of the gas lift cylinder. Press down firmly to secure the connection.

5. Operating Instructions

Your HYLONE Drafting Chair offers several adjustable features for personalized comfort:

5.1. Seat Height Adjustment

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever under the right side of the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up slightly and pull the lever up. Release the lever at your desired height.

5.2. Footring Adjustment

The footring can be adjusted vertically along the gas lift. Loosen the knob on the footring, slide it to your preferred height, and then tighten the knob securely to fix its position.

5.3. Flip-Up Armrests

The armrests can be flipped up to allow closer access to your desk or to save space when not in use. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To lower them, pull them down.

5.4. Tilt Function

The chair features a tilt mechanism. Pull out the lever on the left side of the seat to enable tilting. Push the lever in to lock the chair in an upright position. The tension of the tilt can be adjusted by rotating the round knob located under the front of the seat.

5.5. Lumbar Support

• Casters: The upgraded rubber casters are designed to be smooth and silent, suitable for various floor types including wood, vinyl, and carpet. Regularly check casters for hair or debris that may hinder smooth movement.
• Hardware: Periodically inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.

7. Troubleshooting

• Chair does not adjust height: Ensure the gas lift lever is fully engaged. If the issue persists, the gas lift may need replacement.
• Chair wobbles: Check all assembly screws and bolts, especially those connecting the seat to the mechanism and the base. Retighten any loose connections. Ensure the casters are fully inserted into the base.
• Casters not rolling smoothly: Inspect casters for trapped debris (hair, lint) and clean them. Ensure they are securely inserted into the base.
• Squeaking noises: Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to moving parts or connections if persistent squeaking occurs.
