Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to make delicious popcorn:

  1. Add Oil and Kernels: Pour the recommended amount of cooking oil (e.g., 1-2 tablespoons) onto the non-stick heating plate. Add up to 4.5 quarts of popcorn kernels. The motorized stirring rod will ensure even heating.
  2. Place Cover: Position the transparent cover/serving bowl securely onto the cooking base. Ensure the butter melting tray is facing upwards.
  3. Add Butter (Optional): If desired, place butter on the butter melting tray on top of the cover. The heat from the popping corn will melt the butter, allowing it to drizzle onto the popcorn.
  4. Start Popping: Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet. Press the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position. The heating element will activate, and the stirring rod will begin to rotate.
  5. Monitor Popping: Popcorn will begin to pop within a few minutes. The transparent cover allows you to observe the popping process.
  6. Turn Off and Unplug: Once popping slows significantly (approximately 3-4 minutes), or when there are several seconds between pops, switch the appliance to the 'OFF' position and immediately unplug it from the outlet.
  7. Serve: Carefully grip the cool-touch handles of the popcorn popper. Flip the entire unit upside down so the transparent cover becomes the serving bowl. The cooking base will now be on top. Remove the cooking base.
