Setup
1. Battery Installation
Drone Battery: Insert the fully charged 1800mAh lithium battery into the battery compartment on the back of the drone until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.
Remote Control Batteries: Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control. Insert 3x AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings. Close the cover.
2. Propeller Installation (if detached)
If propellers are not pre-installed, attach them to the motor shafts. Ensure propellers with 'A' marking are installed on 'A' motor shafts and 'B' on 'B' motor shafts. Use the provided screwdriver to secure them. Attach the protective racks (propeller guards) for added safety, especially for beginners.
3. App Download and Connection
Download the official drone application (refer to the QR code in the quick start guide or search for "E88 FPV" in your app store).
Turn on the drone and then the remote control. On your smartphone, connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named "E88-XXXXXX"). Open the app to establish a connection and view the FPV feed.
4. Calibration
Place the drone on a flat, level surface. Perform gyroscope calibration by pushing both joysticks on the remote control to the bottom-right corner simultaneously until the drone's lights flash rapidly and then become solid. This ensures stable flight.
Operating Instructions
Basic Flight Controls
- One-Key Take-off/Landing: Press the one-key take-off/landing button on the remote control (or within the app) to automatically launch or land the drone.
- Altitude Hold: The drone features an altitude-hold function, allowing it to maintain a stable hover at a set height, making it easier to control and capture steady photos/videos.
- Directional Control: Use the left joystick for altitude (up/down) and rotation (left/right). Use the right joystick for forward/backward and left/right strafing movements.

Advanced Features
- 4K UHD FPV Camera: The drone is equipped with a 4K wide-angle camera. Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi to view real-time FPV (First Person View) footage and capture high-definition photos and videos directly to your device.
- Optical Flow Positioning: This feature enhances indoor and outdoor stability by accurately locking the target to achieve a stable hover, preventing blurry aerial shots.
- Gesture Recognition: Perform specific hand gestures (e.g., a "V" gesture) in front of the camera to trigger automatic photo taking or video recording.
- Trajectory Flight: Draw a custom flight path on the app screen, and the drone will automatically follow the designated route.
- Three Speed Adjustment: Adjust the flight speed (Fast/Medium/Slow) according to your skill level and environmental conditions for a more controlled and exciting flight experience.
- 360° Flip: Execute impressive aerial stunts with the 360° flip function.
- One-Key Return: Press the one-key return button, and the drone will automatically fly back towards its take-off point.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone body and camera lens. Avoid using liquid cleaners.
- Propeller Replacement: Inspect propellers regularly for damage. Replace any bent or broken propellers using the provided screwdriver and spare blades. Ensure correct 'A' and 'B' propeller placement.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. If not used for extended periods, charge batteries to about 50% capacity.
- Storage: When not in use, fold the drone and store it in its portable carrying case to protect it from dust and damage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Drone does not respond to remote control. | Ensure both drone and remote control are powered on and properly paired. Re-pair if necessary by turning both off and on, then pushing the left joystick up and down. Check battery levels. |
| Drone drifts during flight. | Perform gyroscope calibration on a flat surface. Adjust trim controls on the remote control if minor drifting persists. |
| FPV camera feed is not displayed in the app. | Ensure your smartphone is connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network. Restart the app and the drone. Check app permissions. |
| Short flight time. | Ensure batteries are fully charged before each flight. Battery performance may decrease over time; consider replacing old batteries. |
| Drone crashes frequently. | Practice in an open area. Ensure propellers are not damaged and are installed correctly. Check for strong winds. Use propeller guards. |
