Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for a quick and secure installation of your HUANUO Dual Monitor Mount.

1. Confirm Compatibility

Before beginning installation, ensure your monitors and desk meet the following requirements:

  • Monitor Size: 17 to 32 inches.
  • Monitor Weight: Each monitor must not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg).
  • VESA Pattern: Your monitors must have 75x75mm or 100x100mm VESA mounting holes.
  • Desk Thickness:
    • C-Clamp: 0.39" to 2.56" (10mm to 65mm)
    • Grommet Hole: 0.39" to 2.17" (10mm to 55mm)

2. Choose Your Mounting Option

The mount offers two installation methods: C-clamp or Grommet Hole.

  1. C-Clamp Installation:

Attach the C-clamp base to the edge of your desk. Tighten the knob until the mount is securely fastened. Ensure the desk surface is stable and can support the combined weight of the mount and monitors.

  2. Grommet Hole Installation:

If your desk has a grommet hole (or you plan to drill one), use the grommet base. Insert the bolt through the hole and secure it from underneath the desk with the provided washer and nut.

3. Attach Monitor Arms and Monitors

  1. Slide the monitor arms onto the central pole.
  2. Attach the VESA plates to the back of your monitors using the appropriate screws.
  3. Carefully hang the monitors (with VESA plates attached) onto the gas spring arms. Secure them with the tightening knobs.

Operating and Adjustments

The HUANUO Dual Monitor Mount offers extensive adjustability to achieve your ideal ergonomic setup.

  • Tilt: Adjust the monitor screen +90° upwards to -35° downwards to reduce glare and find a comfortable viewing angle.
  • Swivel: Swivel the monitor +/-90° horizontally to share your screen or adjust your viewing position.
  • Rotation: Rotate the monitor 360° to switch between landscape and portrait modes instantly.

Flexible Arm Movement

  • Height Adjustment: Utilize the gas spring system to effortlessly raise or lower your monitors up to 17.5" above the desktop. Adjust the gas spring tension screw (usually located on the arm joint) to fine-tune the arm's resistance to match your monitor's weight. Turn clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors, counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors.
  • Extension: Extend the arms up to 15.4" to bring your screens closer or push them back to maximize desk space.

Cable Management

Integrated cable management clips help keep your workspace tidy and organized.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your HUANUO Dual Monitor Mount.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Check Connections: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight and secure, especially the desk clamp/grommet and VESA plate connections.
  • Gas Spring Adjustment: If the monitor arm feels too loose or too stiff, re-adjust the gas spring tension as described in the Operating section.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your monitor mount, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Monitor Sags or Does Not Stay in Position:

This is typically due to incorrect gas spring tension. Adjust the gas spring screw on the arm joint. Turn clockwise to increase tension for heavier monitors, or counter-clockwise to decrease tension for lighter monitors. Ensure your monitor's weight is within the 22 lbs per arm limit.

  • Arm is Too Stiff to Move:

The gas spring tension might be too high for your monitor's weight. Turn the gas spring screw counter-clockwise to decrease tension.

  • Mount is Unstable on Desk:

Ensure the C-clamp or grommet base is tightened securely to the desk. Verify that your desk thickness falls within the specified range for your chosen mounting method. Uneven desk surfaces can also affect stability.

  • Monitors Cannot Be Rotated/Tilted/Swiveled:

Check if any adjustment screws on the VESA plate or arm joints are overtightened. Loosen them slightly to allow movement, then re-tighten to the desired resistance.
