Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ToruKeep 1.3 Cu Ft Home Safe Box. This digital security box is designed to protect your valuable documents, money, jewelry, and other important items from theft and damage. It features robust steel construction, an electronic keypad, a hidden key lock, and an LED light for convenience. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your safe to ensure proper use and maximum security.

Safety Precautions

  • Always keep emergency keys and the external battery box in a secure location, separate from the safe.
  • Do not store emergency keys inside the safe.
  • Ensure the safe is placed on a stable, level surface or securely mounted to prevent tipping.
  • Keep the safe away from excessive moisture or direct heat sources.
  • Do not attempt to force the safe open if the keypad is locked due to incorrect password entries.

Setup

Initial Opening and Battery Installation

  1. First Opening: Locate the keyhole cover on the keypad. Gently press and slide it to reveal the keyhole. Insert one of the emergency keys and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.
  2. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment located on the inside of the safe door. Insert 4*AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.

Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security, the ToruKeep safe can be bolted to a wall or floor. Pre-drilled holes are provided on the back and bottom of the safe.

  1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe.
  3. Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided expansion screws.

Operating Instructions

Setting the User Code

The user code can be 3 to 8 digits long.

  1. With the safe door unlocked and open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (near the hinge). The yellow light on the keypad will flash twice.
  2. Input your new user code (3 to 8 digits) on the keypad.
  3. Press the "#" key to confirm. The yellow light will flash twice, and you will hear two buzzer beeps, indicating successful code change. If the yellow light flashes with three buzzer beeps, the code change was not effective; please try again.

Setting the Master Code

The master code can be 3 to 8 digits long.

  1. With the safe door unlocked and open, press "00" on the keypad, then press the red reset button located on the inside of the door. The yellow light on the keypad will flash twice.
  2. Input your new master code (3 to 8 digits) on the keypad.
  3. Press the "#" key to confirm. The yellow light will flash twice, and you will hear two buzzer beeps, indicating successful code change. If the yellow light flashes with three buzzer beeps, the code change was not effective; please try again.

Opening the Safe

  1. Enter your user password on the keypad.
  2. Press the "#" key. The green light will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, rotate the knob clockwise and pull the door outward to open the safe.

Silent Mode

To turn on silent mode for keyboard typing (no sound feedback):

  • Press "*" and then press "633".

To cancel silent mode for keyboard typing:

  • Press "*" and then press "66".

Alarm System (Wrong Password Locking)

  • If three consecutive wrong passwords are entered, the keypad will be locked for 20 seconds automatically. The safe will constantly beep during this time.
  • If six consecutive wrong passwords are entered, the keypad will be locked for 5 minutes automatically. The safe will constantly beep during this time.
  • During the keypad locking process, any input is ineffective. You can use the emergency key to open the safe and remove the battery to stop the beeping.

Maintenance

  • Regularly check the battery level and replace batteries when low to ensure continuous operation.
  • Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Do not lubricate the lock mechanism.
  • Keep the safe door closed and locked when not in use to maintain security.

Troubleshooting
