Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble your scale:

  1. Place the main scale unit on a stable, level surface. The adjustable front and rear legs, along with the built-in level indicator, help ensure optimal stability and accuracy.
  2. Attach the black under plate to the scale unit. Ensure the 'UP1' marking on the under plate aligns correctly with the corresponding point on the scale. Secure it firmly using the provided screws and hexagon wrench.
  3. Carefully place the detachable stainless steel weighing pan onto the under plate.

Unit Conversion

The scale supports 13 different unit conversions. Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through the available units: g (gram), ct (carat), oz (ounce), ozt, N, lb (pound), dr, GN (grain), dwt, %, t/T, T, T/A/R.

Tare Function

To subtract the weight of a container and weigh only the contents, use the Tare function. Place the empty container on the weighing pan and press the TARE ZERO button. The display will reset to zero. You can then add your items to the container, and the scale will display only the net weight.

Counting Function (PCS)

The counting function allows you to accurately count multiple small items of uniform weight, such as pins, screws, or coins. To use this feature, place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 10, 20, 50, 100 pieces) on the pan, press the PCS button, and follow the on-screen prompts to set the sample size. Once the sample is registered, adding more items will display the total count.

Calibration

The scale supports both single-point and multi-point calibration to ensure optimal accuracy. Single-point calibration uses one known weight (e.g., 2000g for a 5000g scale), while multi-point calibration uses multiple known weights (e.g., 1000g, 2000g, 3000g, 4000g, 5000g). To calibrate, press the CAL button and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Calibration weights are not included and must be purchased separately.

USB Interface

The scale features a USB interface for serial data exchange with a computer or micro-printer. This allows for convenient organization and analysis of data results, and direct output to office software without requiring additional driver software. Please note that the data cable is NOT included.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning

The stainless steel weighing pan is detachable for easy cleaning. It can be wiped with a damp cloth or washed with mild soap and water. A protective membrane covers the buttons and screen to guard against light splashes, making cleaning simpler and extending the scale's operational life.

Storage

Store the scale in a dry, stable environment away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight. Avoid placing heavy objects on the pan when not in use to prevent damage to the sensor.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Scale does not turn on.No power, loose connection, or dead battery.Check power adapter connection. If using battery, ensure it is correctly installed and has sufficient charge.
Inaccurate readings.Scale not level, unstable surface, or needs calibration.Ensure scale is on a stable, level surface using the level indicator. Perform calibration with appropriate weights. Minimize vibrations or air currents.
Display shows "OVERLOAD" or similar error.Weight exceeds maximum capacity.Remove excess weight immediately. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 5000g (11 lb).
Slow response time.Normal for high-precision scales, or environmental interference.Allow the scale a few seconds to stabilize. Minimize vibrations or air currents around the scale.
