1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your KUIPERAUTO Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning installation to ensure correct fitment and safe operation. Retain this manual for future reference.
Important Safety Note:
- Ensure the tonneau cover is completely secure in the closed position or opened position while driving.
- Do NOT drive with the cover in a partially opened position.
- Clean the debris before folding the tonneau cover.
- Periodically check to ensure all clamps remain secure and tight.
- Remove the tonneau cover before towing the truck from the rear.
- Do NOT drive without safety clamps.
- Secure all clamps, especially the SAFETY CLAMPS, for fastening and safety purposes. Any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from the non-use or misuse of clamps will not be covered by us.

3. Compatibility
This tonneau cover is compatible with:
- 2009-2025 Dodge Ram 1500 (Including 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500, 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic & 2019-2025 New Body Style)
- Fleetside 5.8' Bed (67.4 inches)
Note:
- Not compatible with CarbonPro beds or factory side storage box beds.
- Installation may interfere with electric tailgate / Multi-Flex tailgate.
- Measure your truck bed length accurately from the bulkhead to the tailgate before purchase.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Pre-Installation Steps
- Clean the bulkhead and bed rails thoroughly before installation to ensure proper adhesion of the weather stripping and secure clamping.
- Apply the weather stripping onto the bulkhead if necessary to create a tight seal.
4.2 Installing the Cover Assembly and Side Rails
- Place the rolled-up tonneau cover assembly at the front of the truck bed, against the cab.
- Position the side rails evenly on both sides of the truck bed. Ensure the inner edge of the side rail aligns with the inner edge of the truck bed rail. The distance between the rear end of the side rail and the tailgate should be equal on both sides.
- Slide the side rails into the cover assembly.
- Tighten the side rails onto the cover assembly using the provided hex key.

4.3 Securing the Clamps
- Unroll the tonneau cover completely towards the tailgate.
- Evenly space out three secure clamps on each side of the truck bed.
- Attach the clamps directly to the metal part of the bed rail. If your truck has an over-the-bed rail bedliner, you may need to cut a small hole in the bedliner for the clamps to properly secure.
- Hand-tighten the clamps initially.
- Once the cover is fully unrolled and positioned, ensure the crossbars are arched upward to prevent water pooling.
- Gently pull down both sides of the cover and press along the Velcro edges on both sides to secure the cover.
- Push down on the end of the cover and pull the release cables to latch the rear section. Confirm a clicking sound indicates proper latching.
- If the cover cannot be latched, try moving the side rails slightly outward. If the cover does not stay latched, try moving the side rails slightly inward.
- Tighten all clamps securely using a ratchet wrench and 10mm socket, or a Phillips head screwdriver for the tension adjustment screws.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Opening the Tonneau Cover
- Unlock your truck's tailgate. The tonneau cover is designed to be locked and cannot be opened until the tailgate is unlocked.
- Pull the release cables located on either side of the cover near the tailgate to unlatch the rear section.
- Fold the cover in sections towards the cab.
- Secure the folded cover using the integrated safety straps when the cover is rolled up and the vehicle is in motion.

5.2 Closing the Tonneau Cover
- Release the safety straps holding the folded cover.
- Carefully unfold the cover section by section towards the tailgate.
- Ensure the cover is properly aligned with the side rails.
- Press firmly along the Velcro edges on both sides to secure the cover.
- Push down on the end of the cover and pull the cables to latch the rear section. Confirm a clicking sound indicates proper latching.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
The tonneau cover can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the vinyl material.
6.2 Tension Adjustment
The tension control system is located towards the end of the side rails on both sides. It can be used to adjust the vinyl tightness depending on weather conditions.
- Only move one increment at a time. Each increment provides an 1/8 inch of tension adjustment.
- If the cover is too tight, move the tension plate away from the tailgate to loosen the vinyl.
- If the cover is too loose, move the tension plate towards the tailgate to tighten the vinyl.
- Ensure the same adjustment is made to both tension plates.

6.3 Regular Inspection
Periodically inspect all clamps and fasteners to ensure they remain secure and tight. Check the vinyl for any signs of wear or damage and address them promptly to maintain the cover's waterproof and UV-resistant properties.
7. Troubleshooting
