Setup

Unpacking and Placement:

1. Carefully remove the water bath from its packaging.
2. Place the unit on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for air circulation.
3. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.

Filling the Water Bath:

1. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power source.
2. Fill the inner chamber with distilled or deionized water. Do not use tap water as it can lead to mineral buildup and damage the heating elements.
3. Fill the water bath to a level that will adequately immerse your samples, but do not overfill. Ensure the water level is above the heating elements but below the top edge of the chamber.

Power Connection:

1. Connect the provided power cord to the power inlet on the rear of the unit.
2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a grounded 110V AC power outlet.

Operation

Control Panel Overview:

• PV Display: Shows the current water temperature (Process Value).
• SV Display: Shows the set target temperature or timer value (Set Value).
• OUT Indicator: Illuminates when the heating element is active.
• TIME Indicator: Illuminates when the timer function is active.
• ALM Indicator: Illuminates when an alarm condition is met.
• SET Button: Used to enter setting mode and confirm selections.
• Up/Down Buttons (Red): Used to adjust values in setting mode.

Setting Temperature:

1. Turn on the main power switch located on the side of the unit. The digital display will illuminate.
2. Press the SET button once. The SV display will start flashing, indicating it's in temperature setting mode.
3. Use the Up and Down (red) buttons to adjust the desired target temperature. The temperature range is from room temperature to 100℃.
4. Press the SET button again to confirm the temperature setting. The SV display will stop flashing and show the set temperature. The unit will begin heating, and the OUT indicator will light up.

Setting the Timer:

1. With the unit powered on, press and hold the SET button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the display changes to show timer settings (e.g., "t" or "time" on the PV display, and a numerical value on the SV display).
2. Use the Up and Down (red) buttons to set the desired operating time in minutes (range: 1-999 minutes).
3. Press the SET button again to confirm the timer setting. The TIME indicator will light up, and the timer will begin counting down once the set temperature is reached.
4. Once the timer completes, the heating will stop, and an alarm may sound (if configured).

Using Lid Rings:

The water bath comes with multiple rubber lid rings. Select the appropriate size ring to fit your measuring cups or sample containers. This helps to minimize heat loss and evaporation during operation.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit:

1. Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Drain the water from the chamber.
3. Wipe the inner stainless steel chamber with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water to remove any residue.
4. Clean the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the baking paint finish.
5. Ensure all surfaces are dry before reconnecting power.

Preventing Mineral Buildup:

To prolong the life of the heating elements and ensure accurate temperature control, always use distilled or deionized water. Regularly inspect the inner chamber for any signs of mineral deposits and remove them promptly.

Storage:

When not in use for extended periods, ensure the water bath is clean, dry, and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and dust.
