Introduction

The Aiwa Portable Boombox is a versatile multimedia device designed for on-the-go entertainment. It features a 7-inch LCD display, Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and a CD/DVD player. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your boombox.

Setup

Powering the Device

The Aiwa Portable Boombox can be powered by either the included AC power adapter or 8 D-cell batteries (not included).

Antenna Setup

For optimal FM radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna located on the top of the boombox.

Operating Instructions

General Controls

Familiarize yourself with the main controls on the unit and the remote control.

CD/DVD Playback

  1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the top panel to open the disc compartment.
  2. Carefully place a CD or DVD onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the disc compartment.
  4. Press the SOURCE button until "DVD" is selected. The unit will begin playing automatically.

Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Press the SOURCE button until "Bluetooth" is selected. The unit will enter pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for "AIWA Boombox" in the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select "AIWA Boombox" to pair. Once paired, you can stream audio wirelessly.

USB Playback

Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. The unit supports MP3 and WAV audio files, JPG image files, and SWF and VOB video files. Ensure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32.

  1. Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port on the top panel.
  2. Press the SOURCE button until "USB" is selected. The unit will automatically detect and play compatible media.

FM Radio

Extend the telescopic antenna for better reception.

  1. Press the SOURCE button until "FM" is selected.
  2. Use the tuning dial to manually select your desired FM radio station.

HDMI Input for Streaming

Connect external streaming devices (e.g., Roku, Amazon Firestick) or game consoles via the HDMI IN port to display content on the 7-inch LCD screen.

  1. Connect your HDMI device to the HDMI IN port on the back of the boombox.
  2. Press the SOURCE button until "HDMI" is selected.
  3. Ensure your external device is powered on and configured to output to the boombox.

Audio/Video Output

The boombox features RCA audio (L/R) and composite video outputs to connect to a larger TV or external audio system.

  1. Connect RCA cables (yellow for video, red for right audio, white for left audio) from the boombox's VIDEO OUT and AUDIO OUT ports to the corresponding input ports on your TV or audio system.
  2. Select the appropriate input source on your external display/audio system.

Aux-in Jack

Connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 players, smartphones) using a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN jack.

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN jack on the top panel of the boombox.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  3. Press the SOURCE button until "Aux" is selected.
