Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your monopod.
- Cleaning: After use, especially in dusty or sandy environments, wipe down the monopod with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the monopod in its carry case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure all sections are retracted and locks are lightly tightened before storage.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections for tightness. Do not overtighten.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Benro SupaDupa Monopod, refer to the following common solutions:
- Leg sections not locking securely: Ensure the twist locks are fully tightened clockwise. If the issue persists, check for any debris inside the locking mechanism.
- Camera/head feels loose: Verify that the mounting screw is fully tightened into your equipment. For quick release plates, ensure the plate is correctly seated in the clamp and the locking knob is secure.
- Leveling base movement is stiff or too loose: Adjust the tension of the leveling base locking knob.
