Introduction

The VIVOHOME Bio Pressure Pond Filter is designed to provide efficient and comprehensive filtration for your pond, ensuring clear and healthy water. This system combines mechanical and biological filtration with a built-in UV light to reduce algae and harmful bacteria. It is suitable for ornamental ponds up to 1600 gallons and fish ponds up to 800 gallons.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your VIVOHOME Bio Pressure Pond Filter:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Verify that all components listed in the product manual are present.
2. Assemble Adapters: Attach the appropriate pipe adapters (3/4", 1", 1¼", or 1½") to the water inlet, drainage outlet, and sewage exit ports. Ensure a secure, watertight connection.

3. Connect Hoses: Connect your pond pump's output hose to the filter's water inlet. Connect a hose from the drainage outlet back to your pond for filtered water return. If using the sewage exit, connect a hose to a suitable drainage area.

4. Position the Filter: Place the filter on a stable, level surface near your pond. Ensure it is easily accessible for maintenance.
5. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power source matches the filter's voltage requirements (110 Volts).
6. Initial Operation: Before powering on, ensure all connections are secure and the filter is filled with water.

Operating Instructions

The VIVOHOME Bio Pressure Pond Filter is designed for continuous operation to maintain optimal water quality.

• Power On: Once installed and connected, turn on the power to the filter. The internal UV light will activate, and water will begin to flow through the filtration system.
• Flow Direction: The filter is designed to process water from your pond, through the sponges and UV light, and return clean water to the pond.
• Switching Functions: The filter features a switch to change the function from returning filtered water to the pond to discharging sewage. This is primarily used during the cleaning process.

• Monitoring Performance: Regularly observe your pond water clarity. The filter's performance is optimized for continuous use.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your pond filter.

Cleaning the Filter Sponges:

• Turbidimeter Indicator: The orange turbidimeter will float up when the filter sponges require cleaning. This is your primary indicator for maintenance.

• Internal Cleaning Rod: To clean the sponges without opening the container:
  1. Rotate the regulating valve to the drain port. Ensure a hose is connected to the sewage exit for proper discharge.
  2. Press the button on top of the filter repeatedly. This activates the internal cleaning rod, which agitates the sponges and flushes out accumulated debris.

Replacing Sponges and UV Lamp:

• Accessing Internal Components: To replace the filter sponges or the UV lamp, you will need to open the filter unit. Disconnect power before opening.
• Sponge Replacement: The filter contains four sponges (yellow and blue). Replace them when they show significant wear or cannot be cleaned effectively.

• UV Lamp Replacement: The 13W UV lamp has an estimated life of 8000 hours. Replace the lamp when its effectiveness diminishes or it ceases to function.
