3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials. Dispose of packaging responsibly. Check the appliance for any transport damage. If damaged, do not connect it to the power supply and contact your supplier.
3.2 Placement and Ventilation
Place the appliance on a firm, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation. The PerfectFit system allows the refrigerator to be placed directly against a side wall or furniture, as the door opens within the appliance's width. However, ensure sufficient space for air circulation at the back and top of the appliance.

Figure 3.1: Diagram illustrating the dimensions of the refrigerator. Key measurements include height (a), width (b), depth with door closed (c), cabinet depth (d), width with door open at 90° (e), depth with door open (f), depth with handle (g), and minimum distance for niche installation (h). For KGN49 models, height is 2030mm, width 700mm, and depth 670mm.

Figure 3.2: Diagram demonstrating the PerfectFit installation. It shows how the refrigerator can be placed with minimal side clearance (A) and a minimum distance from the wall (B) while allowing the door to open to 125 degrees (D) within the appliance's width (C).
3.3 Door Reversal
The appliance doors are reversible. If you need to change the door hinge side, refer to the detailed instructions provided in the separate installation guide or contact qualified service personnel.
3.4 Electrical Connection
Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket. The voltage and frequency must match the specifications on the rating plate. Do not connect the appliance to the power supply until all packaging and transport protectors have been removed.
3.5 Initial Startup
After installation, wait at least 4 hours before connecting the appliance to the power supply. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Clean the interior of the appliance before first use. Set the desired temperatures and allow the appliance to run for several hours before storing food.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel
The control panel is located on the exterior of the refrigerator door, providing easy access to temperature settings and special functions.
