4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly typically requires two adults. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the separate assembly guide included with your product. The general steps are as follows:

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a soft, clean surface. Compare them with the parts list in your assembly guide.
2. Assemble the Main Frame: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard panels using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Using as a Sofa or Single Bed (Compact Mode)

In its compact configuration, the daybed functions as a comfortable sofa or a single bed. Simply place a 90 cm x 200 cm mattress (not included) on the main slatted base.

5.2 Extending to a Double Bed (Extended Mode)

To transform the daybed into a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm), follow these steps:

1. Clear the Area: Ensure there is enough space in front of the daybed for the pull-out section to extend fully.
2. Pull Out: Gently pull the lower, pull-out section of the daybed outwards. It should slide smoothly on its casters or glides.
3. Align and Secure: Once fully extended, ensure the pull-out section is aligned with the main frame.
4. Add Second Mattress: Place a second 90 cm x 200 cm mattress (or a single 180 cm x 200 cm mattress if designed for it) onto the extended slatted base.

5.3 Retracting to Compact Mode

To return the daybed to its compact configuration:

1. Remove Mattress: If a second mattress was used, remove it from the pull-out section.
2. Push In: Gently push the pull-out section back underneath the main daybed frame until it is fully retracted.
