Maintenance

Cleaning Your Watch

To clean your watch, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch case, strap, or lens.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a long-life battery, typically lasting 24 months. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained. Improper battery replacement can compromise the watch's water resistance.

Water Resistance

Your watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This means it is suitable for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. To maintain water resistance:

  • Do not operate buttons underwater.
  • Ensure the crown (if applicable) is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperature changes, which can affect seals.
  • Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or chlorine.

Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low. Replace the battery as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Incorrect time or date: Re-enter the time and date settings as described in the Setup section. Ensure you are in the correct 12-hour or 24-hour format if applicable.
  • Tide information is inaccurate: Verify that the correct tide location has been selected in the Tide Location Setup. Ensure the time and date are set accurately, as tide calculations depend on these.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable). If the issue persists, a reset may be required (consult a service center if no reset procedure is in the manual).
  • Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a qualified service center. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself, as this will void the warranty and cause further damage.
