4. Setup and Preparation

4.2 Placement

4.3 Adding Engine Oil

  • The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the recommended type and amount of oil before starting.
  • Refer to the engine oil specifications section for the correct oil type and capacity.
  • Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick.
  • Slowly pour the recommended oil into the engine until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  • Securely replace the oil filler cap/dipstick.

4.4 Adding Fuel (Diesel)

  • Ensure the generator is off and cool before refueling.
  • Use only clean, fresh diesel fuel. Do not mix diesel with gasoline or other fuels.
  • Open the fuel tank cap.
  • Carefully pour diesel fuel into the tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill above the fuel filter screen or the maximum fill line.
  • Securely replace the fuel tank cap.
  • Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Pre-Start Checklist

  • Check engine oil level.
  • Check fuel level.
  • Ensure all electrical loads are disconnected from the generator outlets.
  • Verify the generator is properly grounded.
  • Confirm the generator is in a safe, well-ventilated outdoor location.

5.2 Starting the Generator (Electric Start)

  1. Ensure the main circuit breaker on the control panel is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position.
  3. Insert the key into the ignition switch.
  4. Turn the key to the "START" position and hold until the engine starts. Do not crank for more than 5 seconds at a time. If the engine does not start, wait 10 seconds before trying again.
  5. Once the engine starts, release the key, and it will return to the "RUN" position.
  6. Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting any electrical loads.

5.3 Connecting Electrical Loads

  • After the generator has warmed up, switch the main circuit breaker to the "ON" position.
  • Plug your appliances or extension cords into the appropriate outlets (230V or 400V).
  • Do not overload the generator. Ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's rated output.

5.4 Stopping the Generator

  1. Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator outlets.
  2. Switch the main circuit breaker to the "OFF" position.
  3. Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
  4. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
  5. Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
