Operating Instructions

1. Ultrasonic Distance Measurement

To measure distance using the ultrasonic function:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Point the front of the device, where the ultrasonic sensor is located, directly at the target surface. Ensure there are no obstructions between the device and the target.
  3. Press the 'MEAS' button. The device will emit an ultrasonic signal, and the measured distance will appear on the LCD screen.
  4. Hold the device steady during measurement for optimal accuracy.

2. Area and Volume Measurement

The device can calculate area and volume based on sequential distance measurements:

  1. Area Measurement: Press the 'AREA' button (or equivalent, often combined with '+/-' or 'x/='). Measure the length, then the width. The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
  2. Volume Measurement: Press the 'VOLUME' button (or equivalent). Measure the length, then the width, then the height. The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.

Refer to the specific button labels on your device for these functions. The LCD will guide you through the required measurements.

3. Using the Tape Measure

For shorter distances or when ultrasonic measurement is not suitable, use the integrated 1-meter tape measure:

  1. Pull out the tape measure from the side of the device.
  2. Measure the desired length.
  3. Press the retraction button (if available) or gently guide the tape back into the housing.
