- Submerge and Prime: Slowly submerge the vacuum head and hose into the pool water to remove all air from the system. Once fully submerged and air-free, turn on your filter pump.
Operating Instructions
With the filter pump running and the vacuum primed, you can begin cleaning your pool.
- Vacuuming Technique: Move the vacuum head slowly and steadily across the bottom of the pool. Overlapping strokes will ensure thorough cleaning. Avoid lifting the vacuum head out of the water during operation to prevent air from entering the system.
- Monitor Debris Bag: Periodically check the debris bag. If it becomes full, suction power will decrease. Turn off the filter pump, remove the vacuum from the pool, and empty the debris bag.
- After Cleaning: Once cleaning is complete, turn off the filter pump. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pump and the vacuum body. Remove the vacuum from the pool.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pool vacuum.
- Rinse After Use: Always rinse the vacuum body, debris bag, hose, and attachments with fresh water after each use to remove chlorine and debris.
- Clean Debris Bag: Regularly empty and clean the reusable debris bag. Ensure it is free of fine particles that could impede water flow.
- Inspect Components: Periodically inspect all components for wear and tear, especially the hose and connections. Replace any damaged parts immediately.
- Storage: Store the pool vacuum in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, when not in use.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AquaCrawl Pool Vacuum, consider the following common solutions:
- Low Suction:
- Check if the debris bag is full and needs emptying.
- Ensure all hose connections are tight and there are no air leaks.
- Verify that your filter pump is operating correctly and has sufficient flow rate (530 GPH or higher).
- Ensure the vacuum hose is fully primed and free of air bubbles.
- Vacuum Not Moving Smoothly:
- Check the vacuum head for any obstructions.
- Ensure the pool bottom is free of large debris that could snag the vacuum.
- Hose Collapsing:
- This can occur if the pump's suction is too strong for the hose material or if there's a blockage. Ensure the debris bag is not overly full.
- If using a very powerful pump, consider reducing its flow if possible, or ensure the hose is not kinked.
