Button Functions:

Setup

1. Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Use:

No programming is needed. Once batteries are installed, the remote is ready for use with compatible Apple TV models. Point the remote directly at your Apple TV device.

Operating Instructions

Controlling Apple TV:

• Ensure the remote has a clear line of sight to your Apple TV.
• Use the Navigation Pad to move through menus and select items.
• Press OK to confirm a selection.
• Press MENU to return to the previous screen or the main menu. For Apple TV 4K, press MENU to power on the device.
• Use the Play/Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward, Previous Track, and Next Track buttons for media playback control.

Controlling TV (Volume/Power):

The Power On/Off, Vol+, Vol-, and Mute buttons are designed to work with specific TV brands: Samsung, LG, Sony, Westinghouse, Insignia, Vizio, and Toshiba. These functions do not require additional setup and should work directly if your TV is one of the supported brands. Note that these buttons are not compatible with ROKU TVs.

Troubleshooting

• Remote not responding:
  • Check battery orientation and ensure they are fresh. Replace if necessary.
  • Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the Apple TV.
  • Move closer to the Apple TV.
• TV volume/power buttons not working:
  • Verify your TV brand is listed as compatible (Samsung, LG, Sony, Westinghouse, Insignia, Vizio, Toshiba).
  • These functions are not supported for ROKU TVs.
• No Voice Function, Siri Function, or Touchpad Function:
  • This remote is an IR remote and does not support these advanced features found on some original Apple TV remotes.
